- I did not expect was a review of that product on guru3d, and a positive one at that - a review that answered the only question I had about that so thanks Hilbert, still no1 for reviews 🙂 question was "does the color-monitor sync feature really work ?" @rburks : icue isn't that buggy it has two main problems, one you can't really avoid : cpu usage goes up and quickly makes your computer unable to idle (10% usage) as you add more rgb/controllers/peripherals the other you can : avoid upgrading the main software they very often break stuff, you should not upgrade icue before making a backup of your os (clone your system) it goes faster restoring your entire C: from a fast USB 3.1 drive (like the Corsair GTX which can do 400Mb/s) than deal with the mess once icue broke itself (corsair rgb memory support is the big problem if you don't have it you should be ok) iCue has absolutely zero competition in term of rgb ecosystem, concurrent software goes from "pre-alpha" to "beta" at best while iCue is a work in progress yes but heavily advanced software what you are asking from HUE you can do and much more with icue, I have a keybind set, with it I change "profiles" preset that I had to make, with several colors/effects/fan speed/even headphones settings all I have to do is press one key and it change everything you can even link it to an executable and have icue automatically change to a specific profile or shut down all RGB and put all the fans on slow or even turn them off invidividually (to watch a movie for example) but since you have to create 1 profile for each exe (last time I checked) I didn't bother I just change it with my keybind which switches to the next profile I currently have - rainbow - fireplace like fire effects (with multi-layered rgb fx for some parts) - red/dark settings and slightly faster fans for hot gpu gaming (like borderlands 3) - maxed fans benchmark mode with specific fans linked to gpu and others to cpu temp - white which can double has a desk lamp - black/rgb off you can copy profiles and just tweak the color or settings easily and switching is almost instant i can spam the key to skip 2-3 modes no problem rgb with many differents brands is awful I had that and dismantled the PC after a few months to go "dark" again, I then rebuilt it but this time only with corsair stuff so I can control everything in one app, it's the way to go
