Errr no. Far from it. Arma. CS is arcade and not skill based at all. It's just an arcade shooter with no ADS and not realistic in the slightest. Ping matters more than skill lol
I think we imagine very different thing under word 'skill'. Skill means that noob picks any weapon for himself and force any weapon to skilled opponent. And noob still gets pwned. (If game is about weapon you hold in hand, then it is class/weapon defined.) CoD generation skill meaning is very different. It is along side: I look at youtube for right places to camp. I look at youtube for right places to throw grenades and place mines. I check where spay and pray strategy works with dual smg, dual shotguns, dual whatever. (realism here is just seeping through pixels) Real skill is playing Unreal with headshot only instagib shock rifle, where nothing than headshot does damage. CoD Skill is like: "Hit with Redeemer place where people spawn." Games where personal skill matters are games which are balanced but have steep learning curve. So bottom feeders can play with bottom feeders and once mixed with pros, this happens regardless weapon used: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=385376226 (In Toxikk, weapons were plenty, but with low ammo, so one had to swap often.)

Check Toxikk, it is quite good. Skill level required is similar to Q3A. But CS 1.6 is still best
im a reformed UT player, that sounds right up my alley. ill have to check it out. funny you mention cs as ive been playing GO lately (i know...its no 1.6) sometimes the slow-burn intensity is just as fun as adrenaline pounding twitch shots. thats why im hoping siege turns out well - nice change of pace, ya know?

I think it is to prevent collision with The Division. Which should have a lot of story content, special narrated missions and stuff which would usually end up in R6 single player. Releases for those games are only 4 months apart, so R6: Siege would decrease sales of The Division.
I'm not interested with The Division. And because i don't like multiplayer games i'll not play Rainbow Six Siege...
