Thats quite a conspiracy theory. Reviews can only be posted by verified owners. But most of the negative reviews are not due to the card, but due to the inflated prices. Nvidia cards the same. Wrong, it's been a diluted mess of fake reviews for the last 5 years and it's not getting better. You can buy fake reviews in bulk even.

those cards are vaporware at least for some countries, some models like the "MSRP" nvidia model Linus complained about just to say "see they exist, at that price !" when they don't really which after the 50th card like that is just annoying as I said to I don't remember which youtuber, when your content is useful to absolutely no one because you're showing a product no one can buy, don't...all you do is generate HATE toward you toward the brand, it's 100% negative "hey see that card it's awesome but you'll never get one you poor not famous enough peasant" that's the reality in the end I have a 5950x-3090 clearly I don't care but still I would not do it or with huge warnings and disclaimers
So - how is that different from guru3d and other websites getting the cards and showing them to people in reviews like this? Why is it about "youtube losers" (loser is with a single o and s btw)? Is it because you actually get to see the cards and the mountains of hardware those companies have sitting around as opposed to on a website, where you don't get to see anything, just a handful of pictures and not the warehouse of unicorn GPUs and CPUs that Hilbert has sitting out back? 😛

Yes - that's how it works for some bits of hardware. I personally know that I'd not want to keep a warehouse full of stuff I was never going to use again if I was doing tech review.

Most of techsites must give back almost all the cards they review and have very short time. Guru3D fortunately is big enough still to get a good amount of samples. But sadly, OEMs give away more cards to useless meaningless youtubers than to techsites to make real tests, and those cards have very few samples on shops ad very high place. Yes, I despise people passing as experts that don't even know what they are ranting up on a 5 minutes video full of bullcrap and shouts. And yes, I hugely prefer reading and viewing shoots on guru3d than a 5-10 minutes videos full of shouts made by someone that should mine by hand uranium in Kazakhstan mines.

Nope. My stomach turns around whenever I see YT reviews. I'd like to stay away from that medium as far as possible.

While we are talking about the "future" of guru3d i have one question. It's not a criticism or a request or anything like that but i wonder if you plan to rework the site eventually maybe make it a little bit more responsive and maybe a dark theme. I would not call the site unusable on phones but let's just say it's not the most usable one i've seen 😉

There is already a dark theme on guru3d and the site had a rework i believe but it was some ago ago. You know what they say, If it works...

$1800 USD is ~$2200 CAD at the moment and yet they're selling it (it says it's NewEgg themselves and not a 3rd party) for $2400 CAD + $30 shipping on their .ca... comes out to ~$2.75K with taxes. NewEgg's gonna NewEgg. I was robbed when I paid $1K for my TUF 3080 OC last year after backordering and waiting a month and a half, I don't know what that makes whatever the hell is going on now. Turbo robbery? NewEgg robbery? I'd say after this it's time to switch to consoles since the PC gaming market is horrifically FUBAR, but even those are still being stolen by scalpers and it's not going to end.

You can actually purchase this exact card at Microcenter for $1199, which is damn good nowadays. I am not buying it because I do not game enough but, it is over twice as fast as my RX5700 with the XT bios flashed to it.

yuppers - going for the same rate as the 3070ti this is a way better card than that and given how it's 1/2 the price of aib 3090ti and runs over the 3080 the price/perf is astronomical

I would buy this card now and stick Reshade RTGI on it. Good enough until REAL HW 4K 60 FPS RTGI arrives.
