Right, Nvidia did the same through drivers to smooth out frames and cpu bottlenecks. Hence the huge FPS gains we had in many titles through DX9-11 over the last few sets. SLI saw some nice improvements. Different way of doing it, same outcome if not better.

I wasn't comparing the two, I was just stating when AMD removed it. I'd like Nvidia to remove the need for it as well.
