1) 1 Tb is a relatively small amount of data, which imho shows how fast Nvidia was in stemming the breach.
2) of all the places to attempt ransomware, a corporation employing thousands of high level programmers and engineers just might be the one you want to avoid.
3) these would be hijackers jumped the gun. apparently they're one-trick ponies and not very sophisticated at that. they didn't probe further and deeper to suss out what's what. they just grabbed the data and ran.

Apparently, the hacker ( Ransomware Group Lapsus ) are claiming they've been hacked back by Nvidia. 😀
