good, 32-bit environment should be present only on wow64 for legacy software, we do not more need 32-bit drivers at all.

oh and black screen on win 10 startup over hdmi unforgiveable. (not an issue on every pc but it's still there I just fresh installed redstone 3 and it's actually worse than ever...). has been an increasingly worsening issue since redstone 2 (happned maybe once or twice to me before that). never happens in windows 7. but I'm sure that's Microsoft's fault and not NVidia right lol. might also be cool to bring back that preview of each graphics option (including the ones we never see in NVidia inspector). it's annoying googling to maybe find an answer to understand what our hundreds of dollars worth of hardware does. would also be cool to know for certain weather certain effects are taking place at all or being over rided by game/app settings. I know you can see what's enabled w/ inspector but in brass tax that doesn't always translate to the api would be nice to know for sure. have seen situations where way too many filtering / AA methods are taking place at once, or an effect I want does nothing.

Seems like a bunch of you forgot that 32 and 64 bit drivers have always been separate, so no, the file size wont decrease and no extra improvement from having anything less as it will be same. They will have more time and focus though which hopefully does bring future improvement but i doubt it. Companies cut stuff to save money, so if anything they reduced hours with this.

Could this enable further performance improvements for 64bit systems? Getting rid of some old compromises?
Directly, no, probably not. It might shrink the installer size by a couple MB but that's about it. However, this is one less thing Nvidia has to pay attention to, so they will have more efficient use of their time. And as a result, they ought to yield better drivers.

Why anyone would even consider installing a 64 bit O.S in the last 5 years regardless of how much ram you have is insane to me. Even if you had only 4gb and didn't get the benefit of >4gb ram you still don't see a performance penalty either and it leaves you with a ram upgrade path.
I'm guessing you meant 32 bit? Anyway, you can blame that on Microsoft, and Intel. Microsoft, because they didn't try very hard to push 64-bit Windows XP, and Intel because they were still releasing non-64-bit CPUs as late as 2007. There are also a few cheap laptops out there where they only work with 32-bit EFIs.

Nvidia killed 32bit drivers, when they broke pae. Latest drivers supporting pae is 332.21 (2013.12)

I pray that they ignore people like you asking for change for the sake of it. The current control panel just works. It's not pretty, but it doesn't bloody well need to be. It's fast and easy to get to the option you want to change. AMD's new setup looks amazing, but is a slow, bloated, labyrinthine mess that values form over function. Why any Nvidia owner would look upon it and think "damn, we're missing out" is beyond me.
And I pray that nVidia ignores people like you. It takes some time to start. It takes several seconds to load 3D settings It takes a few seconds to apply changes made in 3D settings It ignores Win10 scaling (if viewing on a 4K screen) I didn't know the AMD one was buggy and bloated but that's still not a reason for nVidia to refrain from updating something which is so very old.

Not surprised that this is happening. To me this should have happened a long time ago considering there are games out there that are 64 bit only. How many people are on 32 bit in this day an age either with Linux, Mac OSX or Windows on their actual hardware (not a Virtual Machine) Not many either gaming or business. I know there are some IT business users who use a Windows Xp virtual machine for legacy software and the same goes with gamers who can't run a specific legacy game that they want to play.

"Slow? In my view it is superfast." Mine generally takes about half a minute to load. It has been degrading over the years. But mostly just speed it up for chrissakes.
Eh, for me the UI starts in an instant. Seems there is something wrong on your end. (Radeon settings)

Same here, click it and it loads instantly.

128 bit operating systems must be coming soon to the masses.

About damn time. My 64bit system is bottlenecked with 16.8 million terabytes RAM limitations.

If it was about RAM limitation in a first place...

First of all, it's legacy code that needs to be accounted for. So just by removing 32bit it'll remove checks and result in a smaller file size.

Is nvidia killin 3dvision support? I cannot understand clearly. I love 3d gaming, it's an experience that i paid to have.
