It's all bullshit. You only have to look at those numbers released by that shop yesterday. Overpricing, scalping, vapourware. People lining up like Homer Simpson at a carnival waiting for carnies to take his money.

Is Nvidia doing a World Circus Tour?

Denial:

Consoles are TSMC, Nvidia is Samsung. 80/90 are based on GA102, 70 is GA104. The contracts for the number of chips, supply, etc are developed months in advance. The supply run for the 3080 was probably locked in prior to covid.
well fpr my research ,samsung is heavily involved in the xbox and ps5 dev. so they got free slots for production ? also they got their own production line for products. i dont think so otherwise the 80/90 would ve made it to the public long ago. trying to blame (not you) chinas holidays for it is just a joke. these holidays are there the last 4000+ years so noone can tell me they didnt know ^^ for the so called covid, china has for month no restictions at all. they are having parties in wuhang if you dont belive it, look for yourself. so cant be that either. i think nvidia is panicing and had to release a product to stay at the top for shareholders sake. even on paper. this company with its marketing paractise the last 25+ years does nothing but fool the people into things they dont need. well someone else might need it for something ^^. but for gamers ? well also i thinks its a big hoax anyway, look at the die size same, always, what if there is only one product coming from one line and at the end, the resellers (amd&nvidia) just put their labels and the right numbers onto/into it ? same with car production lines these days .. remember - competition is sin (quote: j.d.rockefeller) !

They use it to realtime edit videos of the lizard people running the show.
it's tragic I even have to put a sarcasm tag in this. You believe we can put 20 billion transistors in the space of one and a half thumbnail but cannot believe we can launch a few apes in a tin can to space.
As for the cards, everything over 12GB should be more than enough, the 20GB 3080 should be a great card as long as price premium is not insane.
im not talking lizards ^^ lol .. no i mean pure and simple whitewash of lies -->

Do you believe that if eyes roll too much, they do a full 360 and come back in place?

After reading your highlights I can confirm that no, they get stuck about half way.

Launch in December, available in April (the 1st)...

Early this year, I was going to wait for this 3000 series release and hang on to my trusty 1070 a bit longer, but I got antsy and bought a 5700XT a few months back. It felt impulsive at the time but it feels a lot less so now.

Easier to win one at this point than buy one o_O

Given that Micron won't be releasing 16Gb DDR6X memory chips in 2020, it would be either slower DDR6 or a different PCB to accomodate twice the chips like the RTX3090 which would increase the cost quite a bit. So I'm going to say no.

They can launch a million cards if they want. What matters is getting them to users at home, which is really the problem. far too many shops have supply problems. and now they are gonna add 3070's,3060's and more 3080's ?? yeah right. foul play!

A 3070 Ti could be configured as a salvage setup using 3080 chips. With both 9, and 18, gigabytes of ram being an option. nVidia could drop those in to their lineup so as to rain on AMD's parade.

The bigger memory models only would make sense if they also increase the memory bandwidth on them. Specially the 3070, which will probably suffer @4k because of only 448gb/s of memory. I know it's not enough for 4k, since I had a 2080, which had the same 448gb/s. They should at least upgrade memory speed, like happened with the Geforce 2080 being upgraded to Super. That would make a big change in high resolutions, specially considering the high power of processing on the GPU itself.

@undorich lol. use a web search to find out how many OTHER space agencies have taken pictures of the moon in the past 10-20y, that show the landing sites of Nasa missions, or the fact that you can point a laser to the moon and it gets reflected back from a "dish" setup by Nasa. Spoiler: "really"
some ppl really need to get of recreational drugs/and or see a medical professional.

Ook, December...which year?

So your an IT guru that 1. buys a product based on its name (vs performance level needed) and 2. complain about the unknown price of a yet to be released product? lol

in this day and age being an early adopter is an unwise thing to do.
