Yeh I'll believe it when I see it, I can bet you it'll be out 6-12 months after the 360/ps3 release, probably alongside the new consoles.
If it comes alongside the new consoles, then it will be only 2 months after the 360/PS3 version won't it ?, not 6-12, as the games due out 17th Sept. for those, and the new consoles are due in November aren't they ?

Nope I also find GTA quite boring. But GTA 2 was a classic.
GTA2 is what really got me into the series. I also felt 3 was pretty amazing for it's time. Overall, the games are generally the same, they just get bigger with more features and realism. One of the reasons the game is fun is because of how many ridiculous and horrible things you can do that you can't do in real life. Aside from pedestrians being a little more crude than usual, and cops being a little too laid-back (though ironically, trigger-happy), the games overall do a pretty decent job at being a city emulator. I just hope that GTAV won't be an abysmal port like IV was. I got IV on Steam a month ago for about $5 and I couldn't believe my system couldn't play it on max details, though, I noticed the greatest performance hit is actually the constant loading of the game. I don't seem to get any performance impact when raising or lowering GPU-specific details. I ordered a couple 250GB hard drives that I intend to put in RAID which should hopefully help stop the load stutter, or at least reduce it.

Nvidia, please make Red Dead Redemption happen. GTA V is great, but RDR would be awesome.
Ye, id be more interested in this aswell. I didn't really play GTA after 3 anymore, i think i like the top down GTA better.

IIRC, 3, San Anderas, and Vice City had the top-down view option.

The big question is, will it run?

I would rather see this made first on xbone/ps4 now its probably going to be dumbed down for the 360/ps3 also it would port better.

Am i the only one who dislike GTA series? they all get boring to me very quickly
I don't care for them either. I have owned every game since GTA3 and I haven't finished any of them. I get maybe half-way through the game and get so bored of the missions that I uninstall it. Running around the city causing chaos is only fun for so long.

I think the games would be better if the missions between your bosses were more linked and if there was a difficulty setting. I'm probably about 2/3 done with playing GTA 4 and the missions are still too easy. I use a pistol 90% of the time and just headshot every enemy I come across. It's amazing how much the fun value of causing chaos drops when you're not doing it with someone else there with you. When GTA 3 was first released, me and a friend would play that every day for about a year after school just messing around with cheats and it never got old (we would trade the controller as soon as one of us died, got busted, or froze the PS2). Then I got the game myself to play at home and I didn't go much beyond 1 hour of causing chaos because it just wasn't the same doing it alone.

Mmm, when i can trust it, i have some doubts, this was during an earning call ( with financials guys /girls from bank like UBS etc, and reporters from financial news sites. They strictly dont care if yes it will be released or not pc, console, all they want is see the cash... " There's many roster games who will be launch on fall ( who are console and pc version ) " .. Not sure he wanted to bring a difference between dates of console and pc launch. Next Assassin Creed and Call of duty, ok Both will launch around this period, but then, thoses are 3 cross plateform games, it could have launch the 3 names together without really think to the pc date of release for GTA V. ( In general, GTA pc version launch a big time after console versions, because Rockstar finish first the console version, and then finish to work on the pc one with a mixed team. )

After the (bad) experience i´ve had with GT4 for PC, i don´t care no more if this game is released for PC...

You mean how WELL will it run? I hope it doesn't lag on top end hardware. What worries me is the game turning out like GTA IV, unoptimized and laggy. Could GTA 5 be another piss poor console port? I hope not...

I guess no one played MP3.

You do realize that 5 years has passed since GTA IV was released and people still gave hard time maxing it out? 😀 On the other hand Max Payne 3 worked just fine... Let's wait and see...

GTA was classic, GTA2 was just a remake with better graphics.

you can't compare Max Payne 3 to something like a massive world of GTA games. GTA IV was the worst piece of crap code for a game I've ever seen. GTA V can't possibly be worse.

no no no this is not the way to say it. GTA IV was the best of the worste, GTA V code should be the best of the best(but this is my trolling the system 😀)

Can't compare GTA IV PC to anything. GFWL and crappy optimization, or lack of. It's like they took the worst programming possible and combined it into one heap of garbage.

The whole point of GTA 2 was to be a bigger, better version of the first game. It added more maps, more content, graphical upgrades, etc. Saying it's just a remake is inaccurate.

“Please note, during our Thursday’s earnings call, our investor relations team provided a list of important games that gamers are looking forward to on PC this fall, and included Grand Theft Auto V on that list. This statement was made with the intent of expressing enthusiasm for the games industry in general, and was not intended to represent specific knowledge possessed by NVIDIA. NVIDIA does not have information on any possible PC version release of Grand Theft Auto or its availability. We deeply regret the error.”
