The biggest problem is still the games. What exclusives will the have to bring people to their platform? I loved my first two generations of Xbox hardware, but when they announced the XO, I wasn't interested in more Halo Gears and Forza. They never produced any other IPs worth buying the console, so I never have. How is that going to change this time around? I'm glad they went multiplatform and put their games on PC, but that just gave me further reason not to buy their box... Meanwhile, I own over 100 games digitally for PS4. I bought it because of Bloodborne, Infamous, God of War, and all the other Sony exclusives. I just bought a Switch for my kids for Christmas so they can play Luigi's Mansion, Mario Kart, and eventually Zelda. Microsoft needs new IP - badly.

Forza, Halo, and Gears series seem to do pretty well. Plus they have other random ones that come out every now and then like Outer Worlds. They also own Ninja Theory now.

Here is a link to PC Gamer talking about this new Xbox - https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/xbox-series-x-clearly-a-pc-tower-every-microsoft-studio-working-on-exclusives/ If you scroll down it shows a list of 15 studio's it currently has working on exclusives for the new console. I guess they don't wan't to be repeating mistake of the past.

I wouldn't get too excited, not every game from the Xbox/Xbox 360 are backwards compatible, only ones that MS has hand picked will work. That marketing though. It is even stronger than previous Gen. I cannot stop thinking that xbox one x was a home theater fiasco, since it never delivered dolby vision plus atmos plus 120hz plus 10bit++ experience all enabled the same time. And now they promise even 4k120fps / 8k gaming power which is even harder than mere promised playback. I won't fall for their claims.

And it is not only BC, they also gave the game the 4k BC update treatment and it looks stunning on the X, makes the original version unplayable once you have played it on the X, and i hope even more original OB games get similar treatment to KOTOR, MorrowWind III and Dragoon Orta to name three off the top of my head, and i have three just waiting to pop into the new console once they start up BC again on the new system, Forza motorsport, Project Gotham 1/2 and Outrun just for starters. lol
