I'm really not much of a gamer and havent been since about the mid 2000's, but back then and prior to that whatever I bought of the store shelf, I could come home and install on my PC without needing any extra software (Steam, Origin) or needing to be connected to the internet. So you guys are telling me every single physical copy of a game in the last 5+ years requires an online only Steam activation ?? That's like buying a car and every time I want to drive it having to call the dealership to ask them if it's ok to do so, you guys are telling me that is the state of PC gaming today and has been last few years ??? And a question in regards to the topic.... the release date of 29th, is that when the USB copies of Windows will be in stores or is that when theyre shipping out to stores and we have to wait another week

This is a great idea, my last few OS installs have been from USB anyway. I use a disk drive so rarely that my external reader is disconnected and in a different room. Games exceeded dvd capacity ao long ago that you would think a retail game in a 32gb sd card in discrete packaging would be cheaper to make than a large 4 dvd disk pack with artwork...and would save a lot of trouble.

Look at it another way, I bought and have a physical disc of Skyrim and Metro 2033. Installation required an active Steam account. So just because I have the physical discs in my possession, your statement about them removing it from my library for whatever reason would still hold true. Having the physical disc means nothing other than having something that takes up space on a shelf or in a closet.
the physical discs are a way for people to play games like gta 5 , 60gb who have slow internet speeds, now people on fast internet of course cant understand because they can download it in 5 hours my internet speed 60 gb would be a 70 hour download , now if games go all digital i cant play new games on pc anymore i will have to buy a ps4 with bluray if the consoles go digital too if i cant get a fibre connection then my gaming days will be finished

ive had my windows 7 on a usb for a long time now, its a good idea to sell it on a usb saves time and none the annoying disc noise however windows is not a big file size , more helpful would be to put theses massive 50gb+ games we get now on one usb stick instead of about 5 discs , but from what i read on the internet the game industry want everything digital or in a cloud which is ok if you have fast fibre internet speeds, im from the united kingdom which is suppose to be in the top 10 richest countrys in the world and major country in europe but my internet speed is 250kps download and british telecom say they cant afford to give people in rural areas fibre internet until around 2020 u.k has fast internet if you live in citys but rural areas its appaling developing third world country probably has faster internet than me and im paying taxes every week

Well its not that exteme. Buying it each time means paying for it each time you want to drive/play it. Once you purchase it the first time you're not repurchasing it again, unless your original copy was banned/revoked. It's more like, every time you start your car, your car seemlessly checks with your dealership to make sure you still have the privilege to drive it. If for some reason your privilege is revoked (non payment?) The car doesn't start. Very similar to those Buy Here Pay Here used car dealerships. So it is actually a common practice with automobiles as well.
