Actually. with this phone's penta-lenses your chances of a successful shot would increase five-fold! 😀

wow, everyone is suddenly a comedic genius in their mind. The quality on pretty much all phone cameras sucks, so cropping in (digital zoom) is out of the question. Using different focal length lenses seems to be a good approach. If that's what they are doing.

This is getting silly really fast. I hate trendy wars between manufacturers that can only copy and try to "make it bigger": Screens are always getting larger (my 5.2'' phone barely fits my pockets); Phones are always getting thinner; Batteries are always getting smaller; Number of cameras is increasing, but not necessarily quality of pictures. I get it, there's no space for lenses to zoom so a 2 or 3 camera setup makes some sense as you could have different ranges on them. What use one would have for 5 cameras though? Is it to justify the 2000€ price? I just want a usable sub 200€ phone I can afford.

Yeah, I completely agree. The only reason why I bought a OnePlus 6 this time around is because it's one of the only phones that gets solid dev support which is all I care about. The 6.2" screen is ridiculously big.
