I don´t want to sound like a "jerk" but i´m a little disappointed that there wasn´t a single Vega contest/giveaway... Still the prizes this year were amazing and if i could chose i would get the MSI 1080Ti Duke.

Considering how many of the prizes could be labeled as "a great product that nobody wants to buy", a Vega would make sense. But perhaps due to supply issues, that's why we didn't see one. I am a bit curious how Hilbert gets all these prizes, because they're all very nice. Are some of them open-box products from reviews? Are some of them products he was given to review but never bothered with? Or are they all donated for the sake of these giveaways?

I think the last option is the correct one. I think companies just give these products through Guru3D, first as a thanks to Hilbert for the exposure he gives to their products and second, as a marketing thing to increase brand awareness.

I think all the products are brand new. I say this from experience because last year i won a brand new GPU, so new that the box was an unopened. The "Not for sale , promotional" warning is just for legal reasons otherwise they can get in trouble for giving away products for free...

Hope I got the answers correct. My brain isn't firing on all cylinders recently. Here we are at the last straw, indeed. Huge thanks go out to HH and all staff for the hard work and prep that went into setting up all of these contests/giveaways. I've had an awesome year here at Guru3D in 2017, and assuming Texas isn't nuked by NoKo it seems like 2018 could be even better.
