i dont really care about the years they can do, as i use LC and have pretty low (case) temps, but the only thing i ever "broke" on a board and other ppl (when ocing) was caps, so i usually get the boards with the best ones. the caps are just one part, but other components are not even listed in detail by gigabyte (why not, if they are good?) or arent the same what asrock uses (asus/msi), so ill go for asrock. besides that, the UD7 has only one nvme slot, when the x370 chip and almost all other boards with it, support 2. i like to get the most for my money, so why would i be willing to pay more for others, to give me less? the fact that they started putting cheaper vram on gpus AFTER the major sites did reviews and NOT mentioning it anywhere (not the box or the site) and just hiding it behind legal talk (GIGABYTE reserves the right ...), and another reason i'm not interested in their products anymore (if others offer a similar item). i only found out after trying to update the bios on my gtx 770 and could make the samsung one work, which was the one used in reviews and actually oced much better than the hynix chips mine had. asus had done that in the past with motherboards (i was interested in), but were actually listing the changes on their site and the product box. i usually do research parts for a few month before making a purchases, but as soon as i know what im going to get, i dont keep links/info about reviews. but i did find one that i looked at. http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/8099/asrock-x370-taichi-amd-motherboard-review/index3.html

Happens occasionally, GPU's and motherboards get a different revision with some tweaks which can either help or worsen the hardware. Article I found is a few years old now but. https://uk.hardware.info/reviews/5835/spot-the-differences-gigabyte-motherboard-revisions-present-markedly-different-test-results Pretty sure it's not just Gigabyte.
Thanks for linking that. Yet another corner cutting method to watch out for. Ive started buying MSI instead of Gigabyte. Too many GPU failures from Gigabyte for me.
