Not funny, just sad. Paid promotion is known bias, influencers are the same but not yet as widely regarded as. Hopefully the penny will drop soon. Nvidia flexing their muscles by getting big channels on board for an aggressive DLSS3 push. Guessing raw performance is similarly lacking to other cards of this generation in this price bracket.
Meh big channels have their own bias too. Also 3060 12GB is only 20% faster than 2060 6GB, with 4060 being 20% faster than 3060 it just continue the tradition

I dont see the big issue here, its 2023, its social media, those who cannot differentiate between pure facts and pure suggestions will learn their errors in the long run. Treat everything you read, see and hear with suspicion and scepticism, ask yourself who has what to gain if i believe something. But to ban it, to suggest its wrong, to discredit it, a totally pointless and futile act. As Hitler once said "Its the internet, believe it or don't".

xx60/x600 cards have become really bad value. it's no 1060 vs 480 anymore.

Effectively, it means any YouTube Chanel that has published early results can no longer be trusted for any reviews. If they are willing to do this, how can you trust them to give honest reviews in the future?
Because everybody has bills to pay, you can run a charity, or you can run a business. choose wisely.

I can't see any reference to hardware unboxed in there. Agreed
techspot is hardware unboxed, they picked the games for 7000 series review so that their result was 12% higher than other 12 site average while 13700k was a few percent down. so 97% vs 87% for intel on a dozen other sites ended up 96% vs 95% for amd on hub only. must have been hilarious levels of cherry picking, dunno if sponsored or just fanboying.

Excellent statement by Guru3d here, fearlessly and truthfully describing the situation as it stands. I believe this does damage the reputations of the youtubers listed to some extent. Business is business, but viewers are looking to tech reviewers to have the consumer's best interest in mind and objectively report on the product in an unbiased manner. These "previews" do the exact opposite, as has already been stated by the original and one of the few real ones left in my opinion; Guru3d.
These YT channels are aimed at the masses, and the masses provide the revenue.

Only problem here is today, when you believe it they class you as one of the herd that follows the trend. If you don't believe it you're a tin foil hat, flat earther, conspiracy theorist.

That Daniel Owen guy still makes it clear what he shows tbh, the pros and cons of FG too. he explains artifacts in FG very well too. You need 60+ to begin with. The frames will be closer in presentation and there will be less artifacts cause it's less guesswork for the OFA and the AI. The more reason for me to wait for 4070ti and not get the 4070. dlss3 will be better looking on 4070ti at 1440p as the card already kills it at that resolution (faster than 3090)

Thanks. Didn't know they were the same folks. Is quite a shift then averaged across

yeah. I'm not picking on HUB, you always need at least a few sources in general. They do tend to be amd biased in comparison to others I noticed, but this r7000 review was too much even for their standards. To make a cpu that's 10% faster 2% slower takes some work. They're like that one spoon in the drawer that is different than every other one and you have no idea how it even got there.

Influencer sounds s lot like manipulator, rather a cheesy choice of words.

I care little for what people think of me, I'm long past that, i work directly with 15 people and not one of them likes me, i genuinely don't care. Stuff like J2C is purely light entertainment, its frothy and easily consumed.

Jay made it pretty clear in his video what the circumstances were under which he was allowed to pre-test the card. And he also looked at the raw horsepower of the card without DLSS 3 and Frame Generation in Cyberpunk 2077 (the only game he was allowed to show results for). I hardly would call that selling out, but hey YMMV!

you mean people who think they deserve free stuff cause they have an instagram channel are not to blame ? please, they're the same level of scum.
Indeed. The thief is as bad as the fence.
Krizby:

Well with delusional YT reviewers who keep spouting 8GB GPU are dead in 2023 nonsense, maybe YT influencers are more informative LOL
I'm not sure who have declared it dead and what your sources are. But from what i'm hearing is that the issues on 8GB are getting more and more noticeable on newer titles.

And there is no denying that in his testing, without DLSS or FG, the card performed surprisingly well in CP2077

Is just the new times, and Nvidia just taking advantage of it. Influencers is the new trend, just check how much money companies are willing to spend in contracts with some of them to promote their products. With some of the influencers having millions of followers, is the garantee of business. A lots of people dont have problems to sell the soul to the devil. I dont care, I dont even have social media, for me influencers means nothing. And on youtube, I just reject their content constantly.

I like Daniel Owen. I don’t even watch the other channels.

This. I used to watch Hardware Unboxed but with time i realized the fanboying towards AMD is off the charts. Even the owner of the channel admitted it in the comment section. If you are a hardcore AMD fanboy look no further 🙂 The home truth is that HUB lost its credibility like many other channels. However the other guy rom HUB TIM who does the monitor reviews is a completely different story. This man is a genius.
