I thought they wouldn't announce full W11 support until the next driver branch. Got it installed on Windows 10 21H2, and still WDDM 2.7.
It makes sense to start with this branch as this gives Kepler an official Win11 driver - and likely the last one from active GRD branch, only bugfixes after this one. Win 10 won't get WDDM 3.0 I think.

I follow these threads secretly just for the chuckles at @cricket bones snappy retorts. ๐Ÿ˜€ On topic, I see this is also being "released" as a Studio Driver, so it's probably a good one.

Kepler isn't Windows 11 compatible, the requirement is a D3D12 FL12 device, kepler only makes FL11.

Thay make it sound as if this is the first drivers that support Windows 114, when in fact it was supported since first public build.

WDDM 3.0 is Windows 11 only.

I mostly play indie games. Triple ayyyyy games are dead to me.
We will all be playing indie games if the upward trajectory of GPU prices continues. ๐Ÿ˜€

Interesting.
Is the ugly tearing in non-hardware accelerated UIs gone? It is unbearable in some PDF viewer etc. software.

Performance didn't increase but luckily didn't decrease either. I wonder why there is a driver release 2 weeks before far cry 6 and windows?

Because it aligned with other titles and included fixes.

As far as FC6 and W11, they are already considered "released" in practical terms for Nvidia. Many ppl will be on this driver when the game and OS are officially released. Also there are a lot of devs and testers still fine-tuning things and this driver is useful for them and will influence the next driver after it.

Still does it here. (Vertically scrolling a big picture in IrfanView, e.g.)

Thanks, sad to hear. The infamous Microsoft way to keep legacy compatibility, but make it unbearable in practice...
