Free games from the Epic Turd Store are only 3 clicks to claim; one to open the ETS client, which by default goes to the store page which has the free game right there, a 2nd to pick the game, the 3rd to "place the order", and it's done.
Meanwhile just the thought of opening Ubisoft's AIDS client and going through their bullshit while it lags and crashes makes me not want to do it, not want to play a game, not want to even use a fracking PC. Who gives a crap to do that stuff when it's faster and more convenient to pirate? Yeah, I'm not going to, especially if it involves watching one of their hollow, shitty, retarded, advertisement streams. When it comes to "this company has probably killed more people indirectly, and directly, than Hitler", Ubisoft is way up there on the list.
Log into uplay account and... watch a stream? Two clicks? But okay, I see why people don't want to watch a stream there. I will most likely turn volume down / mute it as well until I see I have the game, but yeah, not everybody can let it run and waste traffic for that. But I have to say since the lockdown I used uplay client more, and it generally worked without issues for me. Only once I had the issue of not being able to run a game due to maintenance.
As for any relation to companies and sympathy or responsibility in some sense, I am pretty positive, none of us should touch anything but CDPR without a 10 foot pole. I don't see Epic as a saint, nor EA, Activision, Take 2, you name it. But as you said, it's a list, not a single name up there 😀
How about you fix your computer? I'm not defending the client other that it works flawless for me. Not quite as quick opening as Steam, but no stability issue.

It is sad to compare YT that hosts their live stream with ~5Mbps per person (without a hitch) to Ubi who can't process 300 Bytes packet for login per person for same volume of people.

IT ubisoft, we all remeber that one AC game that launched especial that Xbox verison that was so broke upon launch graphics them self were broke and patch to fix was redownload of whole game, so not surpised by things that happen with ubisoft.
Hell there system that manage what game you own is broke imo, All your game ONLY show in there client, there website dont list all the game you have, and some of the game need you "unlock" achievements for site to actual recognized them. I use GoG to keep track of all games I have and for GoG to recognized all the ubisoft games I have I need to install the client and login to the client atlest once, other wise half the game I have are missing in GoG. and some of the game that require one to "unlock" achievement or trophy to get the site to recognized the game as owned which in turn should get GoG to see the game as owned dont work all the time either. I mean there isnt even list of "owned" game attach to account on there website.
Imo the client leave alot to be desired.

Watch Dogs 2 has been made into a giveaway page, though, probably best to check it once the login service is up and running again. At least they've admitted the issue and decided to give out all the view rewards for free.
