@Grimbarian try these, they fixed the GPU/Compute switch. πŸ™‚

INF comparison. 17.11.1 AMD Driver version 17.40.1031 Windows driver version 23.20.788.0 17.11.2 Crossfire profiles: Star-Wars Battlefront 2 Call of Duty World War 2 These were updated.
CODWW2 is running in single GPU on Vega here...Maybe its that kind of profile that switch it to stricktly single GPU??

Could be, but a single-GPU profile to me would be a very short string and probably involving a lot of 0x0 flags. True That's probably not the case here. There's also the DXX profile but it appears to target the SP exe file only. 0x22,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x08,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x13,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00, And if we go down to the exe files we have these listings for the HighPerfGPUAffinity setting. HighPerfGPUAffinity HighPerfGPUAffinity HighPerfGPUAffinity HighPerfGPUAffinity HighPerfGPUAffinity And these which appear to tie into Crossfire. Star Wars Battlefront 2Profile Call Of Duty World War IIProfile Call Of Duty World War IIProfile Call Of Duty World War IIProfile Call Of Duty World War IIProfile Call Of Duty World War IIProfile And then these but these appear to connect to the above DXX profile. CoDWW2_SPProfile CoDWW2_SPProfile Those hex flags can mean a lot of different things though, for Linux it seems some of this was recently found commented in the source code for the drivers there but that doesn't help with DirectX games though it can give some info on how this is all set up. Undoubtedly some of these are compatibility flags or workarounds or other "hacks" for how the game should work with multiple GPU's and to try and maximize scaling but there could be flags for different GPU models and Vega in particular was only recently made Crossfire compatible I believe. (Another flaw with the original release of that GPU, well for those who've managed to snag 2x of them at least what with poor availability and all that.) Could be that there's still work to be done before multi-GPU works perfectly for Vega, though GPU model aside both SLI and Crossfire support seems to have been problematic as of late. It's a high profile title though, there is obviously a profile too so hopefully AMD will have it resolved sooner rather than later, 17.12.1 looks to be focusing on including a OSD but hopefully there's more to it than expanding on ReLive. πŸ™‚ EDIT: Comparing with a profile that should be single-GPU could perhaps help but even the Win10 UWP apps have a few bits to their profiles. 0x22,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x18,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x17,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x20,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x1F,0x00,0x20,0x00,0x01,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x04,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x22,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x02,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x18,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x17,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x20,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x1F,0x00,0x20,0x00,0x03,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x04,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00, Though yeah a lot of 0x00 in there. That first flag is probably of some importance too, tends to be the first noticeable difference when a Crossfire profile has been updated but it could just function as a sort of incremental version string or well it's probably some other bit or flag but usually it's increased when a profile is updated. πŸ™‚ EDIT: Or I could look at the top of the CFX list and see they actually have compatibility profiles specifically for these modes. 0x24,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x20,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x17,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x03,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x02,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x06,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x13,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x04,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x38,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0x08,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x64,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x02,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x22,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x02,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x20,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x17,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x28,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x02,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x26,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x03,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x38,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0x08,0x00,0x00,0x00,0xD0,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x02,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00, 0x22,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x10,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x17,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x04,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x21,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x02,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x03,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x04,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00, 0x23,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x20,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x17,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x02,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x02,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x06,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x13,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x04,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x7C,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x02,0x00,0x00,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0x18,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x90,0x00,0x00,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0x08,0x00,0x00,0x00,0xA8,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x05,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x0A,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x06,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x21,0x00,0x00,0x01,0x02,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x03,0x00,0xFF,0xFF,0x04,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00, Not that it says much, at least not without knowing more about these bits at least which I guess there's very limited to no public information about unless some comparison can be made from the open source AMD Linux drivers, mostly just a guess though, OGL differs from D3D after all. (Driver used to have it's own little OpenGL XML file for compatibility for games using that API, disappeared a while back though.)

While I love the threads on new drivers sometimes I am just surprised we all sometimes seem to get lost in the weeds. I am shocked no one is mentioning the the huge dx11 optimization that came with driver release. It has taken me a bit to account for the rather large increase in just my graphics score in 3dmark firestrike. About 1000 points improvement. (17.11.1 to 17.11.2)

Seems that we have a lot of portuguese people in here πŸ˜› On-Topic: I really hope the new drivers brings more than just the perfOverlay.

Doh, first time I tried changing to compute mode Radeon Settings closed itself πŸ™
It still isn't perfect, but it works like this: 1st time you try the switch the Radeon Settings will just close, so open it and try the switch again. Now, it will switch properly, restarting the driver and Radeon Settings. When you try to switch again, it will again restart the driver and Radeon Settings without that nasty message that there is no compatible GPU blah blah.

So, when are they actually going to get around to fixing the crashing and not responding control panel? That is the main reason I am on 17.9.3 WHQL and will not move forward without that fix in place.

This is the kind of info I'm looking forward to reading. Can you provide some before and after results? Have you tried API overhead?

I will see what results I have saved for 3dmark. It gets a bit much sometimes sorting through them...and then with me having a platform change, re-overclocking all for stability and then RMA'ing CPU for segfault and the ordeal I went though..easy RMA but first one had bent pins. I will post what I can find tomorrow. One thing to note is I do and have made minor changes to my bios in the last couple of months, but the changes would not give me around +1000 point score difference. We are drinking tonight and I am trying to actually game a bit. I do have some API and will dig those out as well. There are some notable differences but remember Ryzen needs good ram which I do not have. Will explain on this when I pull those results as well. So far what I have seen..not with standing the what I was trying to show...but WoW is buttery smooth and in new Dalaran I easily get 60+ FPS in the landing area. But not been to any other areas that hit the PC hard as trying to get my UI set up the way I want. With my I5 6600k I was lucky to get only 45 FPS. I know not the best game to make comparisons with, since WoW in a lot of things is bound to the CPU.

Oh Ok. What kind of scores are you looking at? From 12500 to 13500?

I believe the issue Some desktop productivity apps may experience latency when dragging or moving windows. Is the issue I've been complaining about for awhile. Like I was saying it was with certain apps and programs while others were fine. I'm so glad they finally have acknowledged it and is a known bug. Now the waiting game for it to be fixed really begins.

What tweak are you talking about? I find 17.7.2 works just fine with Wolf2 as is. Is there some way to use newer vulkan stuff with our old drivers? Pretty much ALL the newer drivers CTD my games for a huge number of rx580 cards....
