by a quick check, none of the previously removed OGL extensions has been re-added.

is that true
Its never happened to me. IDK, I have been lucky with enhanced sync since it came out. And 3 different types of freesync monitors and many different GPUS. Didnt know this was an even an issue. I use video and youtube alot on my little 2nd monitor. @The Creator I just downloaded it and give it a shot. No issues for me.

Dragon Quest XI has textures that seem like they have a different LOD value or something compared to others in some areas like Puerto Valor and Lonalulu they game itself stutters a lot too but with a RX 6950 XT and 5800X3D

Even with 22.7.1 and newer?
Yeah,22.7.1 is when I started using Enhanced Sync as well.

Do you have any multimedia related issues using the newer DX11 driver with NV1X?
Watching videos in VLC, MPC-HT (with MadVR), used the program for video interpolation (watched movies in 120 fps, lmao) or YouTube in Edge / Opera. Everything is smooth as butter, with one particular quirk. The quirk is that, if you have 2 or more monitors (refresh rates don't matter), when you boot Windows, YouTube will almost always be stuttery and drop a ton of frames. If you have 1 monitor, this kinda never happens. Back to 2 monitors though. I personally use Restart.exe from CRU (Custom Resolution Utility) that basically restarts my entire driver. After it's restarted, frames no longer drop in YT, funny enough. Extremely, very RARELY, I've seen this behaviour apply in MPC for example, but I've seen it happen. It's also as rare as a unicorn in the number of times it happened, it's usually just a YouTube only problem.

You use the old DX9 decoding with EVR renderer instead of the new DX11 decoding and DX11 renderer. But the real reason for the missing exception in your case is because you play VP9 stream + HDR. The problem is with AV1 + HDR.

Which program / filter do you use for frame interpolation? I liked AMD Fluid Motion with my old 290X card. But AMD decided to remove this feature with the new cards. So now I use SVP (SmoothVideo Project) filter with PotPlayer. The result is not as good as with the hardware implementation of AMD Fluid Motion. There are much more artifacts in the image. Unfortunately, SVP stopped to work properly with the recent AMD drivers. Now I have exceptions almost always when I try to jump back or forward during the playback.

Not ideal the screen flickering in windows mixed reality portal vr is fixed but now I get horizontal screen tearing
data/avatar/default/avatar40.webp
SVP is what I used, but this was a few months back.

Fixed Issues Enhanced Sync may cause a system crash during gameplay with video playback on extended monitors.
This is what I intended to post earlier. And, I do wonder if it's true that it's fixed.

I was just using potplayer defaults. Im not video guru. All I did was download the video in 4k HDR and played it. I was just seeing if I had any issues. All I could find to download was a 4k.webm HDR. Otherwise all over site grabbers were giving my 720p mp4 HDR at best.

Known Issues VCE presets may be in mixing in VEGAS Pro™ with some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon™ RX 6600 Graphics. DaVinci Resolve™ Studio 17 may crash using AMD encoder on some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon™ RX 6900 XT Graphics. GPU utilization may be stuck at 100% in Radeon performance metrics after closing games on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon™ 570.
It can be confirmed that the AMD VCE/AMF encoder failure is AMD's problem.

Sort of unrelated to this thread but I wanted to let all of y'all know. u/AMD_Vik told me on Reddit that DirectX8 and DX9 are now one driver stack, DX10-11 are another driver stack and DX12, Vulkan and OpenGL are all individual stacks as well. I am currently using the NimeZ drivers on my 5700 XT, to be able to enable the RDNA2 DX11 improvements on RDNA1 as well. This also means funny enough that the DX11 stack improvements ... apply to DirectX 10 as well! Tried the 2008 Far Cry 2 last night in 4K, with my punny Ryzen 5 3600. DX9 is like 80-120 fps, DX10 is like 180-220 fps, lol. Also, with the DX11 improvements, Assassin's Creed Odyssey is now as smooth AND faster in DX11 than DXVK, damn.
So, AMD still refuses to properly support RDNA1. Pathetic. Of course they will keep saying that they care about the gamers during speeches, though... 😎

As a former 5700xt, this does bother me. Its odd and piss shame that AMD is doing with RDNA1. Especially considering alot of games are DX11, and they do not support Ray Tracing. And the 5700xt is such a damn good bargain right now. Seen a few going under $150 locally.

Guess I'll give this driver a go....maybe it will finally be what fixes my issues...

The fact DXNAVI can be enabled on RDNA1 is due to AMD coding it to work though. The dev is just flipping a switch (changing 4 registry names technically). I don't know why it's not the default option.

Tested Spider-Man tonight also, still with NimeZ 22.7.1 Maxed out, 3200x1800, FSR 2.0 Quality: pretty much 60 FPS in gameplay, with some dips during cutscenes. Nice. 1080p + FSR 2.0 Quality was fluctuating a lot, between 120 (Vsync'd) and 80.

can someone repack drivers with old 22.5.1 VCE ?

Hmm...what CPU ? It seems like a CPU bound scenario with that frametime inconsistency.

Repackage Adrenalin 22.5.1 with OpenGL Beta driver based on Adrenalin 22.8.1 driver package. DaVinci Resolve™ Studio may crash using AMD encoder on some AMD Graphics Products. Or VCE presets may be in missing in VEGAS Pro™ with some AMD Graphics Products. If you have AMD VCE encoding crashing problems and need to rollback to Adrenalin 22.5.1 and need a new version of AMD VCE / AMF or OpenGL Beta driver, you can download and install it.
