PUBG is definitely running great with this driver. Before my 1070 struggle to keep 30 fps in medium high @1440p. Now only foliage medium, AA low and show high, rest of the settings ultra and getting 60+ fps @4k with resolution scale option @80. I hope they add sli soon. Then it will be perfect.

Well, another weird thing is that if you just delete C:\Temp with its contents then the driver would seemingly use C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\NVIDIA\ folder instead and will not re-create C:\Temp folder - which you'd think should be a default cache location from the start.
I should of checked actual content, in "C:\temp\NVIDIA\ComputeCache" it is empty for me. I have not deleted anything in over many months. I also just checked I had the appdata\local\temp folders excluded in CCleaner so the C:\temp was probably not used for me in a while. PS: I am still on 388.13

Seems to have broken DIablo 3 SLI, getting weird blurring effect in certain areas that was not there with the last driver.

GroinShooter:

Probably not. Oh it definitely isn't a small tiny bug, there's green flickering artifacts at the top of the screen and sometimes everywhere which results in the game being unplayable. This is only an issue under DX12. DX11 is fine, doesn't make it any less of a concern though.
Thanks...

Should I buy the game now? I'm with i7 8700k @4.7 and Gtx 1080ti. 60 fps without drops?
7700K @ 4,8 and gtx 970 here at 1440p, my fps never drops under 60, mostly 80-100fps+ Yeah it works pretty well (not all maxed obviously)

Am I the only one having some computer freeze when using Outlook 2016 on a 4K monitor (Win 7 & Office 2016 up to date) with 388.xx ? The last driver version that doesn't show this problem is 385.41 (!)

Pretty ironic how they say this driver gives the best gaming experience while the 3D profile says Not recommended. 😀

I've had several crashes with Microsoft Edge since I updated to these drivers. And while I can't say for sure that it is the drivers that's causing the crashes, I'm pretty sure they have something to do with it since Edge uses WDDM.

what version of W10 are you on?

Creators fall edition with the latest updates16299.125. I reported the event log entry to Microsoft. I started noticing this problem with the last Microsoft update with the previous set of drivers, so it's possible that the last update made Edge unstable for me.

ok, so maybe its more a MS issue.

Yeah right now I switched to Firefox for my default browser in the meantime. Very impressed so far with Firefox, they really made some outstanding changes to the browser in terms of performance, stability and responsiveness.

Is it just me or does this & the last driver realy like SLI. Have had fps gains in all my games from Siege to Newz.

Yep, changed from Chrome (used it for years..) to Firefox, too. Also cos uBlock Origin makes my browser hang for 1 minute (tried new install, del profile, etc.) on each Chrome start. Dev doesnt find out why, so also a reason for switching. No problems with ublock on FF.

If you want to buy PUBG this is what you will get a few hours of fun time, after that good luck with the aim botters and people who spawn in weapons ive seen this first hand on squad base play and doing solo well gg on that too.

I went back to Chrome. While Firefox Quantum is faster, the scrolling is very janky on certain websites, which is annoying as it breaks the feeling of performance. Chrome is slightly slower, but scrolling is much smoother. It also uses less memory. Honestly I prefer Edge as my browser, but I won't use it as long as it keeps sporadically crashing when I go on YouTube.

Both of these are not true at all.

Well it's true for me. Chrome uses the least amount of memory on my machine (which is different than yours) compared to FFQ and Edge. Edge has the smoothest scrolling however. Whenever Mozilla implement their new rendering engine next year, then I'm sure that janky scrolling I'm experiencing will disappear completely.

Hmm, noticed a small boost in performance with these drivers in Wolfenstein 2. Even though async compute is still supposedly disabled for NVidia, the game definitely runs significantly faster than it did at launch when async could be toggled on and off in the advanced settings. It's possible that they enabled async compute, but have deleted the setting itself from the game. The last patch increased performance for NVidia as well. It will be interesting to see a performance review update a few months later with Wolfenstein 2, as patches and driver updates continue to change the performance of the game.
