The following table shows several commonly used dirids, and the directories they represent. The values most commonly specified by device INF files and driver INF files are listed toward the top of the table. ... %13% Driver package's Driver Store directory. For Windows 8.1 and later versions of Windows, specifies the path to the Driver Store directory where the driver package was imported.
installing driver to windows driver staging directory? not sure if that is common / good practice

Origin won't start the game if i change it. Well, i might as well just buy the game.
You can create a profile for the trial executable and force the profile for the retail executable. I have been pretty much skipping every other new AMD driver. Judging by the changelog, I think I will also skip this one. Probably the only thing that can be fixed for my ancient cards is the lack of CF support in DX12 Linked-node Multi-adapter, but I doubt AMD ever bothers to fix that.

Mafia 3 still doesn't run on my Phenom II. Thought it has Cpu driver but it is just Gpu driver.Wondering how at AMD house thought to solve SSE4.2 command issue by graphic driver? Still wait still hope 🙁

Hi, I have a 7870 on W8.1 w/16.10.1 drivers. Is there any reason to upgrade to this, or can I skip all these little updates?

Always update IMHO. Use DDU.

ok this it weird all drivers since version 16.9.1 are getting installed to \SystemRoot\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository before 16.9.1 it was \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS this would explain http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=5342149&postcount=20 cmd to check: reg query HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\amdkmdag /v ImagePath older drivers: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\atikmdag.sys newer drivers: \SystemRoot\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\*.inf*\atikmdag.sys can someone confirm this?
From long time ago in Win7/Win 8.1 the full package of drivers are in \System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\c730xxx.inf_amd64_xxx folder. The ati*.sys still exist in \system32\DRIVERS folder.

driverstore is now used for driver package and driver itself with newer drivers i can safely delete \system32\DRIVERS\ati*.sys this is on windows 10 (or is my windows borked?)

is this could be the reason why im having having problem while installing latest amd update? because of remaining files that are left in System32\DriverStore\FileRepository? like freeze and stuck etc.

unlikely, but im no expert edit: section [DestinationDirs] in install .inf has variables beginning with DS. (DriverStore?) DS.Graphics = 13 (dirid = 13, Driver package's Driver Store directory.) list of files to be copied to system-defined directory 13

Anyone having problems with fullscreen@BF1? Just installed the game, latest drivers with DDU etc, but every time that I'm setting fullscreen-2560*1440*144 and hit "apply video settings", I'm getting a DX error and the game (naturally) freezes. Any special options I should be aware of? Just tried borderless, same sh.t.

Are you using MSI AB? If yes, make sure you are running the latest version.

JonasBeckman Read your given info...my MB has limit for AMD Cpu till FX CPU...See no need change Cpu for additional commands.PhenomII is not so bad still. All this "games" are for marketing for suuporting The Producer of Cpu.Interesting....is SEE 4.2 command does matter of anything in game or it is just a somekind of Tax for something u have to pay for nothing? Anyway Thanks for link. Still wait for game producer to give me a favor for See4.2 support.Damn...it's time to change vendor to Intel. All the time i have been with AMD...but heart get beat slower with AMD products.

I haven't tried 16.10.2 yet, but for me BF1 was running well in DX12 fullscreen with 16.10.1.
