THEAST:

AMD's driver is now officially a true example of "jack of all trades, master of none" (Seriously, "video trimming and social platform sharing"?). There is another year of bug fixes ahead of us for new "features" that were not even needed in the first place.
If you dont like it..doesnt mean everyone doesnt like it. I like those features personally. πŸ™‚;)

Either I missed it or AMD just installs ReLive now without the installer having the option to ask the user about opting out or skipping, easy enough to trim down afterwards though. πŸ™‚ There's a new log file in the C:\AMD folder with this driver too, not quite sure what it's about yet but I assume it's part of the performance overlay or one of these OSD's at least even if the default config is to save result to the AppData\Local\AMD folder instead. The bundled Vulkan runtime was also updated to 1.0.65.0 with this driver. And that's about all for now, liking being able to save Wattman profiles (finally.) and some of the bug fixes are welcome too, probably not any major performance gains (Particularly for older AMD hardware like this Fiji series GPU.) but perhaps there's some improvements and in either case bug fixes and other enhancements are welcome additions. EDIT: So the XML comparison then. Driver is updated to 17.50 over 17.40 with these. New DAL property "FreeSyncEETF" New 3D_User property "FreeSyncForce" The Chill profile for Halo Wars 2 is off by default in these drivers. Several new Chill profiles added: Rage Brink Wolfenstein New Order Wolfenstein Old Blood Minecraft No Man's Sky Gears of War 4 Forza 7 Forza Horizon 3 Quantum Break ReCore Fallout Shelter Enter the Gungeon Fable Fortune Ruiner Raiders of the Broken Planet Sea of Thieves The Long Dark Crossfire profile updates: DOTA2 3DMark Sky Diver Paragon Steep Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War 3 Crossfire profile additions: Rocket League (Long flag, definitively a CF profile.) K1 (Really long flag for this one.) Rogue Trooper Redux Battalion Far Cry 5 (These three - Yeah Far Cry 5 too. - have really short flags that might be single-GPU or disabled but it could be something else too.) Sea of Thieves (Really long flag for this game.) DXX profile changes: Overwatch Destiny 2 OpenGL: XORG - Caps changed. (0x02000040 to 0x02000042) CattleAndCropsProfile - Added. DAL: Just the values for the added FreeSync setting, on and off. 0x00000001 0x00000002 HighPerfGPUAffinity: Dirt 4 Injustice 2 Metro Last Light Redux World of Tanks - Encore Far Cry 2 now has a profile for the Steam version of the game. Shadow Warrior 2 has the FreeSyncEETFEnable flag. And then just the exe names for the various added CF profiles. πŸ™‚

Can anyone already confirm if this driver enables Primitive shaders for Vega?

Netflix playback in a browser or via UWP application may experience stutter.
Nope it's still there :'( Edit: Tested in both Opera (chrome) and Edge

Does this fix long loading times in FH3? Please say it does...

Update, I turned on GPU scaling and while the stutter hasn't altogether gone, it has reduced the length of the stutter (from 1-2 seconds down to something like 0.2 seconds). Still frustrating. I'm trying to do a bug report but page isn't responding (I'm guessing AMD's website is being hammered right now).

"no host in authority .username." Why is this error appearing while I try to connect my phone to the PC ? Afaik, i let firewall to use AMD Relive, so what can be the problem ? WIndows 10 user, maybe I disabled some host things ?

Jesus.... Just tried now the new drivers. And I've opened CS:Go and enabled Enhanced Sync. It's horrible... it's even worse than vsyncing at 60FPS for me.. It framepacing feels jittering all over the place, with my FPS rounding the 100-190FPS. Awful!!!

What's going on with Chill? I can modify values for all of my games. Is this means that Chill is working with all games now? Anyway, works in Fallout: New Vegas.

Chill works now even in Escape From Tarkov which is barely even in Beta stage. Also Escape From Tarkov feels more fluid/responsive on Customs map, like near Gas Station area, or Doorms. Altough that may be just my bias toward this driver. I like it a lot πŸ˜€ edit: There actually is responsiveness improvement or "reduced latency" since last driver: http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/radeon-software-adrenalin-edition-driver-december-2017-analysis,1.html I didn't see this before playing the game so I'm not biased πŸ˜› Performance didn't improve though.

I like the new performance overlay, it's a nice addition.

Also tried enhanced sync on R6 Siege and felt so much better comparing to CS:GO Altough I don't like it to be honest. So I think enhanced sync is actually something that after all I don't care. I would preffer an adaptive solution to lock at 30fps or 60fps from them, like nvidia has. As for the driver itself, amazing to be honest. I think there is less overhead now, delivering more smoother performance, and less GPU bottleneck. It would be interesting if you guys would test AC Origins or 3DMark DX11 overhead test. As for Performance Overlay it's good, but I would love to have extra options like a frametime graph like MSI AB or to increase it's size, but apart from that. It's amazing and entirelly on-the-GO without opening MSI AB or something. Good stuff. Cheers

Fury Working as a charm.... Tested: R6:Siege -> Best to date (Chill On) Heroes VII -> Little more in low-FPS SW BF2 -> 63FPS like before πŸ˜‰ FH3 -> working as a charm πŸ˜€ 😎 BF1 -> I will do some quick Domination πŸ˜‰ .... I don't see any differences cuz' im Playing Games not benching games πŸ˜€ πŸ˜› Useless πŸ™„ Finally we have Great Driver (1.5 month of waiting)

Siege was just playing flawlessly before, I can't imagine it now πŸ˜€ I feel like it's Christmas already.
data/avatar/default/avatar32.webp
Confirmed.. Chill on R6 Siege is just pure perfection!

This isnt an AMD driver issue. This happens on my Nvidia rigs as well. Its a damn UWP problem. Just seems more AMD users are affected, but it does it on 2 other Nvidia rigs. GTX 660, and GTX 960. One has a 750GB 115mb read and other has a 240GB 480mb. Both are nearly 6-8 mins load times.

Seems like birth issues with nvidia's fast sync which is basically the same thing as this now. By nv its still not completely fixed, occasional jitter, try to framecap at certain value .e.g. 100fps or 120fps (msi RTSS limiter).
