I like how it downloads and installs raptr without your permission during the installation

its nor raptr per se, its gaming eveolved powered by raptr. Theoretically its an AMD app.

Dude, you have a Radeon 7730M in your lappy. What are you expecting from Mantle on that kind of hardware which is already limited? Stick with DX11 in Battlefield 4 and lower your settings until it's playable. Mantle has just been released and all focus was on the R9-series (and 79x0-series) desktop GPU's together with Battlefield 4. As a new technology it will take time to optimise for and spend resources on budget/mid-range desktop cards as well as Radeon Mobility GPU's that are limited by default (since your laptop would turn off after 20 minutes if you had a full fledged 78xx/79xx/R9-290(x) in your lappy pulling 180-270W. 😉 So patience. And what does nVidia have to do with anything. You won't get Mantle by switching to a lappy with one of nVidias mobile GPU's.

Disable the Intel graphics. Delete any custom cfg if you have one. Delete BF4 profile files and let the game recreate them.

No integrated graphics, no custom cfg or BF4 profiles. I didn't do a clean install as I was coming from 13.12 but I guess I have no choice but to try it. i did try it with 14.1 with no success. Thanks.

Great! 😀 Will test them later tonight, if that fixes my driver hangs in BF4 all I need now is the Gamma Fix from DICE :P

Umm if I do a custom install it says "AMD Display Driver is already installed and current" Is that right? o.o I'm doing a quick dirty install over 14.1 before I do a clean one tonight...
