Nvidia doing poorly at DX12 once again. Their DX12 performance is a joke. Even Pascal don't support Async Compute properly. Same story with Vulkan. Vulkan shows way better performance gains on AMD too, so it's not just limited to NV and DX12. NV are bad with all new graphics API's. Their hardware is dated and simply don't support newer graphics technologies. Pascal is nothing more than a Maxwell die shrink with higher clocks. And i'm saying this as NV user. I'm annoyed at how poorly NV are at supporting new features and updating the GPU hardware features/architecture.
Vulcan SDK is updated today with new AMD drivers. Doom is showing 1.0.21 ver and even my card i've noticed even further boost in fps. I can imagine if game is re-tested AMD cards would show even more increase.
https://s14.postimg.org/r0owqw1n5/Untitled.png
newer nvidia drivers also carried newer vulkan runtime drivers (not as recent as amd though) that boosted performance on nvidia cards despite lacking shader intrinsics/async as theres seems to be no word of it from either the devs or nvidia. Would indeed like to see retests when these drivers gets matured more

To me, this shows again that AMD is better optimized for DX12. Their older cards are even or better than Nvidia's newest. Sucks for team green, but when everyone said in the past that AMD did a better job with DX12.. Well this benchmark is proof again. As more DX 12 titles come out, hopefully Nvidia will get things straightened out. Cause if I can get a GPU that cost $200-300 less than the higher end Nvidia GPUS, and get the same performance in DX12... Well team Red will be my next investment.

The 980Ti just got crushed... damn
what exactly does crushed even mean in this context. because it performs not as good as AMD cards in AMD optimized gaming evolved title it's crushed? but if we take a look at BF1 beta 980Ti performs excellent. so now it's un-crushed? this is my own opinion, but to me, performance in BF1 is 100x more important than Deus Ex. http://i.imgur.com/ocD9Fej.png

For sure but Battlefield 1 is on beta , performance will coming on release i think . ( sorry for my bad english ) We need a battlefield dx 12 review after release and patch .:)

BF1 beta without patch ... Deus ex ( released game + patch )

This whole conversation is moot.
Known DirectX 12 issue: - There is a known bug that causes some very high end cards to regress relative to DirectX 11. This bug is being addressed by the development team.
They were very clear in the release notes.

Look at that RX 480 closing in to the GTX 1070 😀
exept that it should compete in GTX 1080 :3eyes:
R9 390x beating 1070
Fury non -X beating 1080
the R9 390X is still the more powerfull AMD GPU until vega come. more on topic i am very decieved by AMD's GPU performance, with all the hype about hardware i was expected more gain... and about NVidia i was expecting that the maintain should be more hard due to their weakness. as i was thinking before: Draw game for now.

You are right, ~£250 gpu should be able to compete against ~£700 gpu.

Not really, we know nVIDIA won't gain much after the fix of that. The FuryX is more or less tied with the 1080 in the benchmark. Since it's known that in game performance is different, it would be interesting to know how both cards hold up in DX12 after the fix.

The DX12 patch for Deus EX is now available. From the looks of it, DX12 is not going to bring in a heaps of extra performance aside from AMD cards in 1080P and a bit in 1440P. We've obviously put th... Deus Ex: Mankind Divided PC GPU performance review updated with DX12
Eidos/nixxes stated in the latest dx12 patch notes that SLI is still not supported.

DX12 removes AMD's horrible driver overhead. Of course the performance will improve. Nixxes has gimped Pascal performance so AMD can sell more RX 480s though. They've just said it's a "bug" and will be addressed later. That just means AMD paid them some money to temporarily lower performance on the 10 series cards and claim it's a bug in the code for high end cards.
Or you know, it's just a bug.

Umh no, 480 performs in this game in DX11 better than 1060 which is often normally the stronger card. DX12 so far is not massively optimized but MD seems to mostly focus on AMD hardware, something that one would expect since both consoles use AMD GPUs.

What's amusing is that most people actually said the opposite. That DX12 development would be difficult and most of the smaller companies would continue to use DX11:
At first glance the announcement of Direct3D 11.3 would appear to be at odds with Microsoft’s development work on Direct3D 12, but in reality there is a lot of sense in this announcement. Direct3D 12 is a low level API – powerful, but difficult to master and very dangerous in the hands of inexperienced programmers. The development model envisioned for Direct3D 12 is that a limited number of code gurus will be the ones writing the engines and renderers that target the new API, while everyone else will build on top of these engines. This works well for the many organizations that are licensing engines such as UE4, or for the smaller number of organizations that can justify having such experienced programmers on staff.
As much as I appreciate Nixxes attempts to port existing engines to DX12, I think basing my opinion of an API on the first few attempts, some by smaller companies, is dumb. Especially considering the nature of DX12. Idk - I find most of these threads funny. People keep crying about how Microsoft overhyped it, or complaining that the implementation is poor/broken/w/e. If you go back and read the articles from 2014 they basically describe exactly what we are seeing. Problem is most people don't bother reading anything but clickbait titles and pretty graphs.

AMD's PR hyped up DX12 to the max. Granted, ashes to date, is the only game that has really made great use of DX12, showcasing old Athlons gaining 200%+ perf boosts.
