They need to stop dumbing down games because of consoles. I played Crysis 2 recently, my god, the gameplay is terrible compared to the original. Ryse: Son of Rome suffered the same fate. I swear, ever since Call of Duty came out, developers treat gamers as morons and make all their games easy mode in order to satisfy causal gamers who enjoy playing games to fulfill their power trip fantasy. They forget, casual PC gamers can't get the wow experience which require powerful rigs in order to get the those amazing visuals they create. A casual will play their game on console and be like meh, because they don't see the amazing graphics which only happen on PC.

Gamers are to blame. Consoles arent to blame. Gamers are and its as simple as that. Gamers have and consistently do, settle for less. Dev X can release broken game after broken game and people will keep buying them and gamers will just convince themselves 'Oh well, maybe Dev X will get it right next time'. Sure its easy to say that devs are dumbing down games, but whos to blame here, the developer or the moron gamers who keep buying them with day one dlc etc. I dont blame developers, why put more effort into a game than needed. ****, some gamers wont even buy some games if they dont include a mp mode, even if said mp has been given the thumbs down by everyone whos played it, they just simply say 'No mp, No buy'. Dont even get me started on the whole achievements and trophies bollocks. Then theres the DLC/Season passes that are released the same day as the "complete" game. Simply put. Gamers showed that they can easily be pleased. So developers went with it and gamers keep buying into it. Blame your fellow gamers. Not developers who are making exactly what the majority/mainstream want. As for Crytek. Its obvious that the team who use to be Rare Studios are either no longer working at Crytek or Crytek is just to busy trying to top the Unreal Engine and thus sacrificing gameplay. Crysis 1 vs 2, yeah 2 is rubbish, but remove the Crysis name and its one of the better Multiplat FPS games.
