SInce Nov 17th I am fighting 3 bricked boards ( +1 WS board ). Not nice. The only god thing is, meanwhile I moved to 7th gen CPU with all the RMA back and forth. * need to edit my HW-sig...LoL Maximus Extreme...NO THANK YOU 🙂
Ever think it might be you? No one goes through 4 bricked boards without thinking, hey stop walking across carpet and working on electronics, or my power supply sucks at the same time. Or I have no proper grounding in my house. All that higher end priced stuff isn't really working out, is it? All you've managed to achieve is a faster RMA, which apparently hasn't helped.

is that a 12 & a 10 phase VRM im looking at? damn heatsinks in the way. they dont even mention anything about the power phases but they list ever freakin component in the onboard audio...haha
Yes , Crosshair VI Hero is a 12 phase Digi+8+4 power PWM design , Crosshair VI Hero draws power from a combination of 24-pin ATX, 8-pin EPS, and 4-pin ATX power connectors.

Sounds like something wrong with the case/handling, I've never seen anything like it either.
Agree, probably short circuit or grounding issue with pc case. On topic: Both look great, especially Prime 🤓

Because then we could see through the fog of irrelevancy.
ill admit, this made me laugh 😀

thx chispy. i thought as much from the chokes+caps. still wouldnt mind getting a look at those mosfets, but thatll have to wait until a reviewer gets feisty & pries off the sinks! honestly its nice to see asus going all-in for AM4, along with the other manufacturers of course. the xhair & prime are too much board for me, tho. regardless, from a technical perspective...im very interested to see wat they can do

That's the reason I'm always suspicious of Asrock motherboards. I'm probably just prejudiced against them at this point, but I have seen at least five failed ones over the years. Same for Gigabyte after-the-review-sh*tty-revision-2.0 ones.
