I hear you on the shortage. My son ended up with my 1070 so his barely used RX580 was going to be sold, but with all the craziness, I kept it. I kind of like having it around as a backup if something goes bad in one of our rigs as it's a pretty decent card. I'd hate to have gotten rid of it and suddenly have a need to replace one of our GPUs. My 1070 is getting pretty old, but it keeps trucking along. I have a bad feeling that the GPU shortage will last the year.

so that's over 25% to match a 3060ti
to get to 3070 level SAM would have to make up for almost 20% difference between 2080S and 3070,so that is not happening.btw 3070 is getting SAM too,and unlike amd,they're gonna test it themselves and enable profiles only for games that don't have negative scaling.
rx6000 definitely could have better sam improvement overall but amd want users to test what works and what doesn't themselves.so you're getting negative perf impact almost as often as you see games improving.
