Idk I played Ryse Son of Rome above 60fps on mine, but yeah it was Oc'ed to 1100mhz..
Anyway not really relevant, I think 390X will be the bomb, much much bigger bomb then GK110 or 290x was, just like Geforce GM200.

There are few exception benchmarks, like always, but overall its still the same.
Stock 780Ti, slight OC from stock 928mhz boost to ~ 1100mhz makes a big difference.

Looks like the FijiXT will be a card that is finally worth upgrading to, I just hope it's not too expensive. Was considering going for nvidia this time round but their complete and utter lack of OpenCL support is a deal breaker for me.

They need to hurry up and release these cards. The sooner the better.

I'm not surprised about the rebranding, they did the exact same thing with the last generation. I only care about the 390X anyway, can't wait to see if it's as good as the rumors makes it out to be.

Hype is real. That 390X specs are godlike. Cant wait to get my hands on one of those. 😀

one other thought on these cards...
Though the 390X is meant to draw about 300w under load like the 290X... it of course is producing about 50% more performance for the same power consumption.
Once you fps limit to 60fps, it will be like a walk in the park for this card in Many games I play which in turn = a Large drop in power consumption.
It should be a Very Efficient card power wise for all but the most intensive games.
...But ofc I will be pairing this with a Freesync 4k (144Hz when they finally arrive) screen though which kinda blows most of that out the window xD

In some ways I'm glad the 290/290X has been rebranded - it means driver support will last much longer. Anybody think its possible to crossfire a 290 with a 380/380X? Or any benefits of reflashing a 290/290X to a 390/390X?
I suspect the 390/390X will still be very power-hungry, but I think AMD has learned their lesson that they lost potential customers due to the power draw. I will be surprised if their reference cooler is a piece of crap like last gen's.
Also I'm confused - if the 370 is Tonga, how is it GCN 1.3? IIRC, the 285 was GCN 1.2.

According to this chart it's GCN1.2.

Only Speculations.
Who knows if 380X will have HBM,who knows if all 3xx are rebranded old products.
We sit and wait. 😀

For any nvidia fans out there whining about rebrands - nvidia has been doing the same thing almost every year for about 8 years now, though, usually they only do it on low-end GPUs. I don't really understand why AMD would rebrand the 290(X) but since AMD is so slow to perfect drivers, I personally don't mind. Look at the performance of a 290(X) today vs when it was first released and I'm sure you'd see a pretty significant performance difference.
