HH, the Fury X has two 8-pin power connections, not a 6 and an 8 like the table currently says.

I believe it is rated to draw about 275w under load.
As to the water and massive power supply capability... I read That as to equal Perfect OCing conditions !
Especially as the new memory draws so much less proportionately than the way GDDR5 does. Altogether allowing the GPU in a position to pull a Lot of power if it helps push a large overclock.
Will be fun to see anyways 🙂

Wow look at how small that thing is, it's just like my old 5770, maybe even shorter.

Since it is a tiny Card compared to other cards this would be the perfect card size for a crossfire setup in case such as my Corsair Carbide Air 540.

Hopefully with HBM stacked memory this means that the days of having to buy a case with enough internal space to fit long cards are gone.

First page I'm going to jump to on Hilbert's review will be the 4K section, then back to Metro, GTA V and Alien benchmarks.
It really needs to have Crysis 3 in Ultra @ 4K to see how it compares.
Less than 60 FPS will be a NO buy and those looking at 4K will wait for Pascal and HBM2 gpus.

PcPer has some nice different pics, including the power connectors, of the Fury X.
Its looks like its got a 25mm fan, and possibly a 120x120x35mm radiator.
Quite a thick radiator, and certainly a good (High CFM) fan by the looks of it.

edit - It surely has an Uber mode, but it might not be outside of PCIe spec as the 290X was.

Small card, but if you want to crossfire them, and have a 240mm liquid CPU cooler, you actually need a huge case with 6+ 120mm fan space. Such a vain show off.

I really can't see these cards overclocking that well......
cowie
man i hope my pot somehow fits this thing

I'd love to see the results once your pot gets shot o that kettle 😉

That cooling. The card is screaming for a smaller node..28nm gettin way too big there

The 24th of june seems so far away 🙁 I almoste ordered a 980 TI in my drunken state yesterday. I'm craving for a new GPU!

Rofl I'm also thinking about a 980 ti stepp.... 767€ for Gaming G1 in my country WTF!!! rofl 😀

Sounds So Big when you put it that way!
In a time that does not seem to be so very long ago I used to set myself a limit of £220 for a good GFx card lol
and here I am with you and us all thinking, but a handful of years later, to be spending £550++ for each card in our systems. (<--- no smiley)
This situation feels somewhat reminicent of another situation here in the UK just now for example...
The new Toyota Mirai goes on sale later this year in the States for £36,761.
However the same car in the UK will cost £63,004 O.o
All because they say the British will grumble some, then shell out the cash anyways...

So i suppose that if the memory is now on the chip , won't that mean that the memory will also be liquid cooled .

http://geizhals.eu/?fs=gtx+980+ti&in= is 747€
reference ones start at 699€
surely we've got used to the fact that MSRP is only for USA, and that prices in the rest of the world begin with same amount in euros.
and now that euro/dollar is falling it's worse than that.
couple that with import taxes and with retailers who are moving less cards than US based, and 767€ is pretty much expected.
cheapest Gaming G1 at Evildead666
769€ here, and its not even the G1 Gaming version, but the stock cooler by the looks of it.
