The only good things that I can see from these cards is that 390/X has 8Gb of Vram which can be very useful for 4k and price. My question is that did the 290X benefit from having 8Gb of vRam or was just a waste and it ran out of GPU power before Vram? Because it might be the same thing with the 390/X cards. Next what AMD needs to do in order not to slip further down the pole here is that they need to release the cards with custom style coolers and not wait like they did with the 290/X based cards.

lol this thread start to be amusing.
Some more post and it will look like a commentary news threads of WCC F.

390x 8gb for sub $400 is a pretty decent deal. It'll no doubt perform 10-15% faster than the 290x, will have more vram and all of that for reasonable money. Looking at 980 performance with 8gb vram for under $400, not tragic at all imo.
Problem is, AMD will need to push harder and challenge the 980ti. Value for money is better on AMD, but AMD won't see my hard earned cash unless they offer 20%+ more performance compared to the nVidia counterpart. nVidia are smashing it right now with they're super quiet and cool cards.
I'll wait to see how cool 'n quiet (no pun) the 390x is. If it can run games at around 65C and be as quiet as a Maxwell card, they'll win some people over, no doubt.
Too many angry fanboys in this thread btw, chill guys.

I'm thinking these cards will be quite interesting with the speed bump + extra VRAM + minor architectural tweaks they are receiving.
They are not simply rebrands with more MHz & RAM...
And those prices are Pretty good for release prices ๐
...remember that current 290X prices have been slashed to clear inventory so cannot be used as a direct comparison to these new cards prices. There are always Great deal to be had at these times!

Oh Guru3d... your forums used to be good and had a good community.. fanboy3d, its a shame.
Back on topic, the prices are very good, but I'm waiting for the Fury line price list, maybe I'll build a new system just for those cards.

How about, no more flaming and fan boy claims. Next time it happens, infractions.

Well, I'm glad this list is out, it lets me know what I don't need to purchase (have a 290x).
I'll wait for Fiji with HBM, Nvidia is not getting a purchase from me due to their Witcher 3 driver blocking (I also have a GTX670).
And fanbois please stop. Unless you're on their payroll there is no need for it.

AMD can do anything on harware they coulnd't beat Nvidia and Intel massive money injected into lobbying towards developpers and pc manufacturer....did i mention fanboys brainwashing?

This was a strong community its sad to see now its full of kids and fanboys ... really sad.

To all the nvidia fanboys, I do hope you are not expecting every pc gamer to go cough up $700 for a so called "premium" card like the gtx 980ti. AMD is really doing the pc gamer world a hell of a favour as I see it...I can now build a nice 4k gaming pc and put in my living room for under $1000...AMD rules PERIOD

Anyone else have anything to say?
Second warning.

$389 is a good price for that a card (i want to see the benchmarks and a comparation to the 290X)
Still i will wait for the next generation of cards(not fiji, the next one with HBM2), my 290 still runs everything fine
