You say you are not favoring 1 brand or the other, but you seem to have a lot of bad things to say about 1 of the 2 brands that you are impartial about. gpu boss aint the best to look for comparing gpu`s some of those comparisons are silly. Personally I dont care which gpu is faster than the other. I buy based on my needs.
Nvidia has an all-around better product, particularly at the release date thanks to their drivers. However, I'm not a fan of their ego, I don't like how proprietary they are, their price point is high, and they have deliberate lack of contribution toward the evolution of PCs as a whole (meaning, they keep to themselves and don't tend aid in the development of non-nvidia technologies). AMD's hardware tends to be better and I like their price point, but their drivers are consistently bad in several ways. It is a problem when their drivers are so bad they compensate for them by adding more transistors and increasing the clocks. If they got the drivers done right at the release date of their products, they would score a lot higher in benchmarks, users would encounter less errors, and they wouldn't need to make a GPU that reaches 95 degrees. I also don't like how quickly AMD deems a product as legacy. Both companies are crap in their own way and it takes so little for them to be much more liked. The way I see it, if you make frequent upgrades, nvidia is the better choice. If you're on a budget and only upgrade every few years, AMD is the better choice (because of price, and because the drivers eventually catch up). That being said, my main rig is AMD. Anyway if you read my post, I referenced gpuboss to point out explicitly that the numbers of the hardware don't really matter [if the drivers can't take advantage of the hardware].

OcUKs just dropped the prices on the 7 series as the 9s are incoming.
Great to see price drops like this. I'm seriously tempted by the 295X2 at £599 to be honest, that's pretty much impossible to beat from a performance perspective for the price.

Theres going to be a hundred going tomorrow, for less than the price of 2x 290Xs on OcUK tomorrow.

Oh man.. that Tri-X is about the price I paid for my 7950 Flex back when I bought it! Fantastic prices. Great time to pick up one of the Superflower Leadex series PSU's also, absolutely outstanding PSU's. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new PSU in the UK.
