Mobility vs Desktop Unless the mobility is the same as the desktop one and the only difference is Guru vs AMD.
The Guru3D driver when extracted extracts to AMD-Catalyst-Omega-RC-Win8.1-Win7-Nov14 and has more AMD drivers included, seems like an APU driver. AMD driver package is newer, Nov20, and has less drivers and inf files, seems GPU only.

"End of the Line" aka. "Duck Update" is crap! First installation failed (application crash) however my second attempt was a success, driver seem to be functional, Team Fortress 2 is running just fine! Thank you!

Like I said in the other thread, the AMD Catalyst Control Centre version in the AMD driver is: 2014.1120.2123.38423 I was thinking it may be just WHQL certification stuff, but there might be a byte or two difference in the actual driver itself too. You wouldn't know unless you did a file by file compare of the two versions.
We have a combined RC Windows 32/64 build compatible with Win 7 and 8 whereas AMD offers them in separate packages. The driver is the same. Feel free to seek any differences otherwise. Our build was provided by AMD and is the build used in our article.

@AMDMATT did you guys also improved the frame pacing for r9 280x crossfire setups? i sure hope so cause then I should enjoy this driver. I wish the driver review had the 7990 included. that would be awesome but hey maybe they see almost no benefits.

Yes, frame pacing has been improved across the board and we will continue to improve this wherever possible. 🙂

So I should see improved performance even on my Resolution @ 2560x1440. This driver is making me extremely exited man. Can't wait to get home from work but it's so longs now. Only 10:20 here 🙁 Anyway I going to get ahead of myself and say good job 😀 Without customer feedback AMD can't really do what they did here.

Not sure why but after installing this driver I've noticed strange stuttering on character models in Inquisition followed by a STD after 5 minutes and my PC froze when I tried to restart the game. o.O

Can only get 3200x1800 for some reason but not a big deal. What I don't get is why can I only use 60hz at this resolution when I can do 1080p at 120hz? If its a fake resolution then surely you can do 4k @ 120hz? If it was sending 4k over the hdmi cable then my monitor would be reporting 4k. Hopefully something that can be fixed 🙂

@AMDMatt, since I have gone 3x 29" Uwide in eyefinity, my DVI moniter always flickers little straight green lines and it does untill I switch it off and then back on, then its fine again. It does this usually on a mode change and/or the odd reboot. This driver still does the same thing. Although not as often as previous drivers. I have one moniter on DVI, one on DP and the main on HDMI. Is there something I'm missing here, or is this a driver issue? using windows 7 x64. So far, this is the ONLY consistent complaint I've had since starting to use Eyefinity, and various forums on ultrawidescreen gaming and whatnot haven't been able to provide me with others that have been afflicted with this issue. Any thoughts? all 3 moniters are IPS, 2 LG 29" and 1 Asus 29"*centre* the LG on the right outside is the one that seems to flicker/DVI. Ive run thru all the settings in the CC, so just curious as to your suggestions...or anyone's at this point. thx.
