At this point, if this monitor is over $1,400 then I would rather get an OLED 43 inch from LG. They should definitely hold this back and upgrade the mainboard as, many 4K 120 monitors are coming out.
Not everyone wants a humongous pc screen though. 32 inch is the sweet spot for me - any bigger and it gets too big. 27 inch is ok though.

Had a Dell U2711 1440 27" IPS screen for 10 years, loved it but wanted to upgrade last November, screen & gaming computer. Went for the ASUS PG35VQ Ultrawide (paid £1,800 in Black Friday sale) because there was no credible 4K screen that was a better choice. I agree that 32" is a sweet screen size but this ASUS 4K is going to be outlandishly expensive. If you've been lucky enough to grab an ASUS Rog Strix 3080 OC for your new set-up then who wants to wait months for a 32" 4K screen costing around £3,500? An OLED 43" 4K gaming TV will cost about a 1/3 of this albeit a slightly bigger screen than some would prefer. Let me add that I'm now completely used to the larger size of the PG35VQ and FC5 & Metro Exodus look fantastic with RT and IQ set to max.

Well, as it says on the previous page, i already have a 4k 32 inch g-sync monitor... so im not in a hurry. Also, i have a 3090, not 3080, and i dont compromise on what i want, regardless of price.
