I go by what this place says when comes to STP and that place says there not really on par with intel as far as STP goes.

Those are very top R7 1800X scores.
Typically they hit 4,000 single and 20,000 in multi.

Will be interesting to see how this compares to the monsterous 4ghz 24core ibm power9 cpus launching this year, one thing is certain , server competition is fierce in 2017.

It's good that AMD is forcing Intel to up their game in all segments. I especially like the part where Intel initially announced 28 core, but are coming out with 32 core part.
Their plan was to add 5% of performance every year and charge arm & leg for these processors. Now they have to follow what AMD is doing (naples 32 core)

Skylake/Kabylake going do nothing, actual RyZen tecnology is superior for servers, can have lot of cores, clock speed and efficiency, Intel is time to upgrade proces
