Windows 10 version 20H2 moving in on 1909

AdDuplex published a report on Windows 10 usage for 2020. Data were collected from approximately 5,000 apps in the Microsoft Store that use the AdDuplex SDK v2 or higher. The data was processed up to December 28 on nearly 80,000 PCs, which is lower than the usual sample size of 100,000.



The figures show that Windows 10 version 20H2, the latest version of the operating system, has grown further to a usage share of 13.6%, from 8.8% in November. The use of version 2004, the May 2020 update, has grown to 40.4%, increasing from 37.6%. 

Last month, the 1909 version had grown to 36.4% and equaled the 2004 version in use, but fell back to 33.2% in December. In the meantime, version 1903 fell even further (from 10.2% to 7.1%), which actually applies to almost every older version of 10. Version 1809 is now at 1.5% instead of 2%, 1803 is at 1 , 7% instead of 2.2%, and those running version 1709 or earlier now account for 2.2% of users, down from 2.4%. Insiders' usage share is still 0.3%.
