Ubisoft confirms that it had a breach in its security - user accounts are safe

Ubisoft reported that it was compelled to reset the passwords of all firm employees following a security breach.

According to the firm, the security compromise impacted several of its services and impacted the operation of certain gaming servers. According to the statement, the company's information technology staff is already consulting with independent specialists to determine what happened. "As a precaution, we've conducted a company-wide password reset," Ubisoft states.

Last week, Ubisoft experienced a cyber security incident that caused temporary disruption to some of our games, systems, and services. Our IT teams are working with leading external experts to investigate the issue. As a precautionary measure we initiated a company-wide password reset. Also, we can confirm that all our games and services are functioning normally and that at this time there is no evidence any player personal information was accessed or exposed as a by-product of this incident.

Additionally, they state, "We can confirm that all of our games and services are working normally and that there is no indication at this time that any of our players' personal information has been accessed or disclosed as a consequence of this event."

At the time, it has not been disclosed which titles were compromised or whether any data was stolen.

And this is why you need different passwords in each of your logins.
So when a company that has millions of dollars FUCKS IT UP and your data is leaked, you are safe from everywhere else.

Unfortunately, the people that work at these companies are underpaid so they are not going to be the brightest bunch, meaning they will (at some point) allow hackers in.
