in my opinion if you're spending $180 on a headset for a $400 games console then i think you're gaming on the wrong platform. a headset of that value (or more if you're that way inclined) deserves a premium audio setup to drive it, whether that is a mid-high end soundcard or a full blown audiophile setup.
