Thecus gives N2810 a Processor and RAM Upgrade

Thecus announced the N2810PLUS, an upgraded version of the N2810 that will come equipped with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and the next generation Intel Celeron N3150 Quad Core processor, allowing users to access improved speed and processing power. This high-performance 2-bay NAS server can manage enhanced Multimedia Playback with 4K video resolution.

Designed with effortless hard drive installation and a focus on reliability, the N2810PLUS features a HDMI port to enjoy 4K UHD media playback, providing users with their own multimedia centre, which supports Air Play. Possessing two LAN ports that provide 7 modes of link aggregation, it also has three USB 3.0 ports for higher data transmission. Furthermore, the N2810 supports an extensive variety of apps for modern digital lifestyles.

The N2810PLUS runs on the latest ThecusOS 7.0, providing an optimized, feature-rich platform with an intuitive user interface and easy navigation. Key new features include Photo Station, Thecus App Center and File Center. ThecusOS 7.0 delivers significant advancements in productivity, flexibility, and performance.

The N2810PLUS as compared to N2810, which ran on Intel Celeron N3050 and had 2 GB of RAM, has twice as much memory and twice the number of processor cores at the same power consumption of the CPU. Therefore, this new NAS has significantly higher efficiency and performance. The N2810PLUS provides the essential services demanded of a NAS, satisfying the demand for high-speed data transmission, a secure storage solution to protect and share data, and greatly extends the possibilities for work and multimedia use.

Availability: The N2810PLUS Edition will begin shipping globally on April 19th 2016.
