Synology Urges All Users to Stay Vigilant of Online Scams

Synology Urges All Users to Stay Vigilant of Online Scams

Synology found that cybercriminals crafted fraudulent domains that look like Synology domain names in an attempt to redirect Synology users to a phishing site where they were tricked into transferring money to a designated account which has nothing to do with Synology.

Synology has reported such matter to the domain name registrar, Google, and LiveChat provider, Zendesk, and the malicious domains (synologlogin.com & routerrsynology.com) have been taken down accordingly.

Synology recommends the following actions to ensure online security.

  • Make sure you're visiting Synology's legitimate registered domains: synology.com and synology.cn
  • Don't click on unknown links or offer your personal account and payment information
  • When encountering unclear situations, please verify the details via Synology's official channels

If you suspect any fraudulent activity, please contact Synology and let's protect users' rights together.
