Last week we already reported that during the Cyberpunk 2077 release Steam reached an incredible peak of Steam peaked towards 23.5 terabytes/s of downloads. The past few days another record was set as well.
Steam broke its record for the most concurrent people on the platform, now reaching 24.8 million gamers online. That number was holding at 22 million during the pandemic peak. Valve's platform hit a new high, achieving 24,804,148 concurrent users. This round it might be a multitude of effects, vacation period, pandemic as well as Cyberpunk 2077 being released. But it is an impressive number alright.
