STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl for PC needs 150 GB Storage and at least a GTX 1060 6GB

GSC GameWorld revealed in detail the official requirements for STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl for PC.

Although there may be some modifications for its launch on April 28, 2022, the developer indicated that we will need at least 150 GB of free space and a 6 GB GeForce GTX 1060 .

Minimum requirements :

  • OS: Windows 10
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X / Intel Core i5-7600K
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
  • Storage: 150GB

Recommended Requirements :

  • OS: Windows 10
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X / Intel Core i7-9700K
  • RAM: 16GB
  • GPU: Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB / GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8GB / GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB
  • Storage: 150GB

STALKER 2 is set in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, where, those who have played the first installment, will remember that two disasters occurred within that area, which caused the appearance of strange mutations and anomalies.

Well, it is a 2022 game and they probably started development well before all this nonsense we're having to deal with. Perhaps things will get back to normal by the time it's out. I don't trust that release date one bit.

If video card prices aren't back down to normal by the time this releases I will be attempting to play this with lower than minimum spec video card.... haha...

150gb... wish PC got some level on codensing, (well more wish developers made use of it), keep seeing games on ps5 shrink in size due to compression of the new tech, and PC we are still getting bloated games

I've developed a habit of uninstalling games I haven't played in over a year. Saves a lot of space. The ones I might actually return to I just offload to a HDD.

150 Gb? If I'm not mistaken, this is about twice what Death Stranding required, and that was an enormous sandbox to bounce around in. Perhaps this is what should be expected when transitioning from X-Ray to the Unreal engine.
