Unofficial imagery and video content pertaining to Sony's Project Q handheld console were disseminated recently, despite the lack of an official release date.

This content offers a glimpse into the console's interior, and corroborates the application of a modified Android variant as its operating system. Its functionalities bear a resemblance to those of the Logitech G Cloud, although the extent to which native applications can be installed on the OS remains undisclosed. Project Q is envisioned as a platform geared towards PlayStation 5 Remote Play, integrating an 8-inch screen with 1080p resolution and Wi-Fi compatibility for gameplay at a maximum of 60 FPS. While the unofficial images highlight the console's large screen, information regarding the battery capacity and component manufacturers remains concealed.

Tom Henderson, an insider, discloses a potential issue with Project Q, which is its restrained gameplay time. As per his report, the existing iteration of the console provides a mere four hours of gameplay before necessitating a recharge. The leaked details prompted a variety of responses on Reddit. Many users voiced their desire for Sony to dedicate resources towards a novel PSP or an advanced Vita model instead.

Currently, no official cost or release date has been specified. However, a 2023 launch is expected.
