The first result set on the Socket AM4 AMD Bristol Ridge A12-9800 have been spotted, the processor currently is only available for OEM. Mind you we are not talking ZEN here. This is a 28nm part based on Excavator-cores.

From the results from Korean website Bodnara you will see that the performance went up marginally, yet the power efficiency went down pretty good, roughly 20 Watts has been shaved off, even 30 Watts when running Prime95.  Total TDP of the chip is rated at 65W.

The AMD Bristol Ridge A12-9800 is fitted with a GCN 1.2 based GPU architecture mostly comparable to Tonga. Compared to previous generations you are looking at a proper 20 to 30% performance increase on that end. The benchmarks are compared to an AMD A10-7870K.

Meanwhile the first entries on the A12-9800 also show up in overclock engines, overclockers reach 4.8 GHz based on air-cooling on this APU.
