Seasonic at Computex Shows Varying PSUs and cable management system
In 2015 Sea Sonic began to revamp its entire product line by phasing out older models and introducing newer, easy to recognize product segments.
While strengthening Sea Sonic’s corporate identity and solidifying its position as the market leader, the aim of the One Seasonic initiative is to create a transparent all-inclusive product lineup.
- The first visible step of this long process was the introduction of the PRIME family in 2016. This new range of power supplies, built from the best components and combining the latest technology, became the flagship series of Seasonic.
- In 2017, keeping in line with the new Seasonic style, the company unveiled its FOCUS series, which consumers immediately took to liking. Specialty or limited edition products, such as the popular, white colored Snow Silent or the AirTouch power supplies, stayed unaffected.
During the 2019 COMPUTEX Show, the next milestone of this overhaul is going to be the introduction of the Seasonic CORE, a whole new entry-level product line.
- PRIME TX-1600 High power 80PLUS Titanium certified at 1600 W power output
- PRIME Fanless TL-700 80PLUS Titanium certified, the highest output fanless PSU on the market
- PRIME STX-800 80PLUS Titanium certified, SFX-L form factor
- FOCUS GX-1000 New white edition
- Seasonic CONNECT (aka SCMD) Visitors to last year’s Computex saw the prototype of this innovative Seasonic cable management system, which attaches to the back of the case with magnets. 500 pieces of the Seasonic CONNECT will be manufactured this year. On display will be the Seasonic CONNECT with our PRIME GX-750.

looking at that seasonic connect and thinking a bit
its basically just cable-extender rather than management
i can only think it used in non-standard pc case that need extended cable length
any idea it can be useful/nice in standard pc case?

I had a couple of Seasonics go bad, but i suspect the poor power network in the area. We moved about 8 months ago to a brand new location, let's see how they hold up ^^
It won't stop me from buying Seasonic atleast.
They do make good PSU. Hard to offer a 12 year warranty if you don't. Had pretty good luck with seasonic and superflower designs, less so with CWT (but that doesn't mean they don't make good ones too.)

Huh? So there are seasonic psu's that are not up to snuff? I guess kind of my fault for years i would get and recommend seasonic blindly this is how much trust i have in the brand! Hmmm i will be a bit more vigilant from now on!

Seasonic are solid, but have had a recent design flaw in the Focus+ Gold units where a limited no. of GPUs dont work well with it (V56 and Asus Strix 970). They've since corrected it, but a seed of doubt was planted that may turn away potential buyers of the Focus line. Their Prime series are excellent, but expensive.
