Will they even sell more then a couple of hundred ? I mean who needs a 1600 Watt PSU? Anyway, Scythe has introduced a new Chouriki 2 Plug-in power supply with a capacity of 1600W! The power supply measures a massive 240mm x 150mm x 86mm, it has two +12V rails, one with 110A and a second one with 50A.

According to TPU the Chouriki 2 Plug-in power supply has a capacity of 1600W! The power supply measures a massive 240mm x 150mm x 86mm, it has two +12V rails, one with 110A and a second one with 50A. It boasts of 80 Plus Silver, with high efficiency at low AC voltages such as 90~120VAC (although 220~250VAC is supported), and most modern PSU safeguards, governed by its secondary IC. The Chouriki 2 Plug-in is partially modular, with its 24-pin ATX and two 8-pin EPS connectors being fixed; while sixteen 6+2 pin PCIe, sixteen SATA power, eight Molex and two Berg connectors are detachable. The unit is cooled by a temperature-controlled 135 mm fan, with manual fan overrides. Slated for November 21, and backed by a 5-year warranty, the Chouriki 2 Plug-in 1600W is priced at 26,980 JPY (US $340).

Wow, plenty of power! Nice when running more than one cpu and 3+ gpu's...
