Rumor: Ampere based GeForce RTX 3000 series might arrive earlier than expected

Anything regarding this product series is kept under a tight leash from NVIDIA, however winner might be coming sooner than expected, French overclocking reports that the announcements and release dates are closer then we all might have expected.

French website overclocking reports that according to their own sources, they think that Nvidia would announce its next RTX next month in August. Official availability would be immediate (Founders versions) and the first custom cards could arrive in September. This last information was cross-checked by 2 different sources, they claim.

Personally here at Guru3D, we think an introduction in September makes the most sense, at that time IFA will take place in Berlin.  However there's always another possibility, we could see announcements at during a streamed press event during Gamescom, which is scheduled for August 26-29, and date would be in line with what Overclockers are reporting.

Makse sense. I have a feeling they'll want to beat AMD to the punch. We'll see how it'll go. Hopefully we'll get some real competition this time around that will drive down the prices for consumers.

I'm afraid NVidia will dictate prices again as they are pretty much ready for launch of their next gen.
I'm 100% sure AMD will price their next gen just a little under nVidia's prices just to keep competition up.
Meaning you can have the same performance for a little less money from the Red side and that's it really.
I hope I'm soooo so so wrong and we can have cheap and great VGAs soon

Even if they release earlier, it makes no sense to decide anything until both AMD and them have released their next-gen.
