Plextor released their new value series SSD tagged under the M7V series SSDs, with that 'V' not for Vendetta or Victory, it's for alue. At 26 cents per GB the M7V series is all about delivering a product at a low price to you.

Manufacturers should make more M.2 NVMe SSDs instead of the M.2 SATA drives. M.2 SATA is pointless unless you simply have no other choice, like in ultrabooks or as a second SSD in a fancier laptop boasting a full M.2 slot. Perhaps some mini PCs might also benefit from it, I have no idea. But it's pointless for a regular desktop. Average laptops still don't even have an M.2 slot in the first place.
