Review: Corsair K60 RGB Pro keyboard

Review: Corsair K60 RGB Pro keyboard

The Corsair K60 RGB Pro comes from a new line of devices by Corsair, and it’s the lowest-tier option in the RGB mechanical keyboards range (replacing the K65/K68 in this position). Still, you get dynamic per-key RGB backlighting (enhanced by amplified-underglow keycaps) that is fully customizable through Corsair iCUE software.

Kinda looks like they're going for a Roccat Vulcan aesthetic, but it doesn't look as good.

If the low profile version comes with PBT switches, it's a really nice option. Cherry MX Speed is a great switch and PBT keycaps are a god send. PBT = durability and a much better feel due to next to no wear and no shiny caps.

I'm still using a K60 Vengeance, not sure if this new one is the same, but mine has this flexible membrane thingy inside which did not like Coca Cola spilt on the keyboard.
Took ages to get the damned thing working properly again (keystrokes would register as if pressing 2 or 3 different letters), hours of soaking the membrane in water and then eventually having to split the membrane because coke had got between the thin layers which are melted together at various points to keep both sides matching.

Let's hope this new version is built a little better inside. For something built so well on the outside it sure seemed very flimsy on the essential bits.
