Radeon RX 5500 XT next week, Radeon RX 5600 XT in January?

Radeon RX 5500 XT next week, Radeon RX 5600 XT in January?

Albeit it has already launched in the OEM segment, the Radeon RX 5500 XT is to be released next week and rumored is that an RX 5600 XT is scheduled for release January. Board partners would be hard at work with their custom models of these cards.

According to Videocardz, below table courtesy to them. Radeon RX 5500 XT would become in two variants: 4GB and 8GB. The 5500 non-XT might end up as an OEM-exclusive, while the XT should only be available through AMD board partners. The RX 5500 XT could even get 1,536 cores, but that is speculation. Navi 14 offers a maximum of 1,536 shaders, the RX 5500 has 1,408 of these units.

In January the Radeon RX 5600 XT would get released and will likely hold 6 GB GDDR66 over a 192-bit wide bus. But that's all there is to say about that rumor. The information situation is still very thin for a potential AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT.

It would be dissapointing for 5600xt to have 6gb vram while 5500xt having 8gb. Its probably wrong.

That and one detail more.
Hope that 5600 has 256 bus width, or at least 196, 128 bus is a limiting factor.

Unless it is the only solution for a proper difference below 5700 in price. Perhaps it is the direct competitor in everything with Nvidia 1660ti/2060/s series, both in muscle and... weight  Interesting rumor though, I cannot recall amd ever used 6gb ram or 192bit bus.

Who knows. Those card will be in the price bracket where, aside from the GPU chip itself, if you give something, you need to take something else away. However, AMD has quite a long history with 8GB, so it's hard to say. But then again, the recent years haven't been good for AMD's Radeon group, so continuing like they always have isn't necessarily the right answer.

Even as a marketing decision they can't go wrong either. Gtx/rtx low end gpus are selling like hotcakes despite being 6gb so many years. So, you cannot consider that truly as a prohibiting factor.
