Bethesda is commemorating their 25th anniversary by re-releasing a number of games that have been significantly improved.  Quake III Arena is now playable in 4K resolution, and it features enhanced models, anti-aliasing, depth of field, and dynamic lighting over the previous version.

In addition, it is possible to purchase additional add-ons, which, among other things, allows for the free addition of new levels.

The narrative of the game has also been expanded. Not only can the original tale be viewed and played, but elements of the story that were cut from the original edition owing to a shortage of space can also be viewed in their entirety. Aside from that, all of the previously published expansions as well as two new campaigns have been included.

Several multiplayer modes have been added to the game, making it even more diverse. The tale can be completed in co-op with up to three other players, and it is also possible to compete against up to eight other players. This new version of Quake can be played on any platform and includes dedicated servers as well as the ability to create custom matches.

Users who already possess the game will be able to update to this version for free; otherwise, the game can be acquired for a fee of ten euros. Upon release, Quake will be available for PC and PlayStation 4. PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Game Pass, and Nintendo Switch are among the systems supported by the company.
