Philips Evnia 42M2N8900 138Hz / 42in OLED Gaming Monitor with HDMI 2.1

The Philips 42M2N8900 of the Evnia 8000 series is a large OLED screen that is designed to provide an exceptional level of immersion for games and movies. It is built around the use of a 41.5" LG Display WRGB OLED panel, which has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) and a matte anti-glare screen surface.

The monitor supports a refresh rate of 138Hz (120Hz + mild factory overclock) and Adaptive-Sync, which allows for the use of VRR technologies such as Nvidia G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync, with a VRR range of 48-138Hz plus LFC. The monitor also features a 15m:1 static contrast ratio, 178°/178° viewing angles, and 10-bit color support. It is "flicker-free" with a luminance of 135 cd/m² (450 cd/m² peak) and a color gamut of 98.5% DCI-P3 (93.6% Adobe RGB, 131.3% sRGB). The monitor also includes Low Blue Light (LBL) settings for a more relaxing viewing experience and an sRGB emulation setting with a specified DeltaE <2. The monitor is capable of responding to HDR10 content with increased brightness pulses, 10-bit color, and the generous DCI-P3 gamut.

The monitor also includes a 0.1ms grey to grey response time and "Low Input Lag." It also features various Ambiglow RGB LEDs at the rear, top, and side edges, as well as running vertically down the center and beneath the bottom bezel, which are customizable in the OSD. This feature creates a distinct "halo" of light around the monitor, lighting up the wall and desk for added ambience. The stand offers tilt, swivel, and height (120mm or 4.72 inches) adjustment with 100 x 100mm VESA mounting supported as an alternative. The ports face downwards and include; AC power input (internal power converter), 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, DP 1.4, USB-C (90W PD, DP Alt Mode, upstream data), 4 USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports (plus Type-B upstream) and a 3.5mm audio output. 2 x 10W down-firing DTS speakers are included for potentially quite rich and powerful sound output. The monitor supports KVM for easy display input switching and USB peripheral sharing between 2 systems.
